The Bungalow Sandhill

The Bungalow at Sandhill occupies a prime location close to Dunfanaghy town and has panoramic views of Dunfanaghy Golf links and Killahoey beach. This is the bungalow’s first season letting and we hope that many families can enjoy the beauty of its position and facilities. The property is located approx 1km from Dunfanaghy town and a short walk to Killahoey beach. The holiday home is surrounded by a large enclosed garden with childrens playground and sandpit. It has its own private gated access from the main road with ample parking around the house.

Dunfanaghy

While staying at this holiday home the visitor has a wonderful golf links and a beautiful unspoilt beach literally on their doorstep. Dunfanaghy Golf Course is a traditional and unpretentious links course. Situated on the shores of Sheephaven Bay, the course offers magnificent scenic views. Here one can pit themselves against the wind, the beach, the rivers and the rough, not to mention the occasional treacherous bunker. A short walk along a path opposite the holiday home brings the visitor through the golf course and down to the wonderful Blue Flag Killahoey beach.

Surrounding Area

The holiday home is less than a 10 minute walk from the centre of Dunfanaghy village. Dunfanaghy is a very popular tourist resort with lively pubs, good restaurants, art galleries and craft shops. It now has a well established festival programme with events taking place throughout the tourist season. Dunfanaghy is situated on the beautiful Horn Head Peninsula. A trip around this dramatic peninsula offers spectacular views of majestic cliffs, seascapes and glorious headlands.

There is plenty of opportunities for walkers in this beautiful part of Donegal – coastal walks around the Horn Head Peninsula, woodland walks in the magnificent Ards Forest Park and hill walking in the North Donegal Highlands – Muckish Mountain provides a very scenic background to Dunfanaghy village.

• Go fishing on New Lake, Sessiagh Lake or enjoy sea angling at Portnablagh

Booking deposit of €150 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
