Lir Cottage - Dunfanaghy

Lir Cottage  is a newly furnished modern cottage located in Clara Meadows just 5mins walk from Dunfanaghy village.  Clara meadows is a safe place for children to play well away from main roads.  Lir cottage is furnished to a high standard to ensure that you have a very comfortable and welcoming stay in the north west coast of Ireland.

Surrounding Area

Dunfanaghy Village is located on the shores of Sheephaven Bay and is surrounded by spectacular coastal and mountain scenery.  Just a short stroll from the centre of the village - and from the holiday home is the beautiful Killahoey Beach, a three mile stretch of golden sand providing safe bathing.  Another outstanding beach is Marble Hill Strand - only 3 km away. Overlooking this sheltered beach is the superb new Shandon Hotel Spa and Wellness Centre. This modern Spa has a hydrotherapy floor and 8 treatment rooms.

Just north of Dunfanaghy lies Horn Head with its striking cliffs scenery and a wide variety of bird life. Perhaps the most dramatic of Donegal's Peninsulas, Horn Head provides stunning scenic drives and numerous scenic walks.

The village of Dunfanaghy - and the nearby town land of Port-na-Blagh - are popular tourist resorts with lively or traditional pubs and a good choice of restaurants. There is something for everyone in this beautiful area, from horse riding to golf, from browsing around the local art galleries to taking leisurely strolls along the magnificent beaches

Living Space

  Kitchen and Dining Area

The kitchen and dining area is located to the rear of the house and is fully equipped for the most adventurous of chefs. Sliding doors lead from the dining area onto the patio outside which is fully enclosed for privacy with a spectacular view of Muckish

  Living Area

The open plan living room is located to the front of the house, has an open fireplace and is equipped with a selection of DVDs and family games to entertain all ages. It is very comfortably furnished with leather furniture and has a feature of a cathedral style ceiling.

  Bedrooms

The accommodation in the holiday home is made up as follows:-

• Bedroom 1:  Master bedroom on ground floor with en-suite bathroom

• Bedroom 2:  Double bedroom (king-sized bed) on first floor (room equipped with hair dryer) 

• Bedroom 3:  Bunk beds and single bed on first floor (suitable for children)

The bathroom of the holiday home is located on the ground floor and features a bath and separate shower unit.

Tariff

Booking Details

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of 25% of rental to secure booking – balance to be paid six weeks prior to letting period

• €150 refundable damage deposit, payable on arrival
  house to be left as found, if not an hourly cleaning charge will be deducted from the damage deposit at €25 per hour
• check out 12 noon, check in 4pm,
• rental Sat – Sat except by special arrangement
