Horn Head Lodge is a luxury 3 bedroom property set amid the spectacular scenery of north Donegal. It is designed and finished to a very high standard with quality furnishings and all modern appliances. The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully furnished - linens and towels provided.

All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms including a shower in each. The Lodge is bright and spacious with large windows affording maximum natural light. The lounge is comfortable with leather seating and a natural stone feature fireplace. French doors lead to the front patio area where you can enjoy lovely views over the local countryside.

Local Activities

Horn Head Lodge is located 4 km from the village of Dunfanaghy. Dunfanaghy itself is one of Donegal’s most popular holiday destinations and features many fine restaurants and pubs. In addition there are a host of activities in the immediate Dunfanaghy area including horse riding, scuba-diving, surfing, golfing, fishing and hill walking.

The Lodge is an ideal base to tour North Donegal. The rugged beauty of Horn Head is at your door step. A short drive will take you to a choice of fine sandy beaches - including Marble Hill Strand, Killahoey Strand  and Tramore. A little further afield is the scenic Atlantic Drive, the enchanting Ards Forest Park and the wild beauty of Bloody Foreland.

Surrounding Area

From Horn Head Lodge you can explore the unspoilt beauty of Donegal's Highlands. Within a half hour’s drive, you have two of Donegal's (and Ireland's) highest mountains - Muckish and Errigal. You also have the renowned Glenveigh National Park. The Dunlewey lakeside Centre provides an excellent day out for all the family.

Guests can enjoy a number of varied and exciting day trips including a boat trip to Tory Island and a visit to the ancient and historic city of Derry. For the golf enthusiast there is a number of fine links courses in the locality - including Dunfanaghy and the two famous championship courses at Rosapenna.

The Lodge is located on the scenic route of Horn Head, very popular with walkers. It is a dramatic stunning coastal route around dunes, beaches and cliffs that rise to a height of 600 feet.

The village of Dunfanaghy has grocery shops, surf shops, coffee shops, good restaurants and pubs with great live music. Dunfanaghy Golf Club is within walking distance of the village and the renowned Rosapenna Golf Course is only a short drive away. There are many attractions including gorgeous golden sandy beaches, Glenveigh National Park and Ards Forest Park.
