Teach Diane - Dunfanaghy - I like to think of my holiday let as a 'HOME', not a HOUSE. Just like 'home from home' with soft furnishings and a welcoming atmosphere. There are books and games in the conservatory and on the enclosed decking area, 2 hammocks to relax in and chill.

For your convenience, here is a Welcome folder with details of contact numbers eg GP Surgery, Garda, Nowdoc and local restaurants and shops. Details of local walks and amenities  local buses and ferries are also available

Pets Welcome

Your family pet is more than welcome but not in the bedrooms or on the furniture. I ask that my neighbours  be respected and that noise levels are kept to a minimum after 10pm

Teach Diane is just 400m from the centre of the village of Dunfanaghy and 1km from Dunfanaghy Golf Club.

Dunfanaghy and Surrounding Area

Dunfanaghy is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Donegal today. This is in no small part due to the number of tourist amenities in the town and the surrounding area. Beach lovers and watersport enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice.

In addition to Killahoey there are fine beaches at Portnablagh, Marble Hill and Ards. A true hidden gem is the totally unspoilt Tramore beach at the western end of Horn Head.

Golf, of course, is on your doorstep. There are a number of surf/watersports schools based in the village. Pony trekking is available locally from Dunfanaghy Stables. Also available locally is fishing – both lake fishing and sea angling. 

Ideal Cycling, Walking and Hill Walking Terrain

There are numerous opportunities for cycling, walking and hill walking around Dunfanaghy. The narrow winding coastal road around Horn Head offers dramatic scenery at almost every turn.  

There are several marked walking trails in nearby Ards Forest Park and there’s a fantastic coastal footpath in Ards Friary. Nearby Muckish Mountain is well worth a climb.

• Golf at Dunfanaghy Golf Club – literally on the doorstep of the holiday home. The 2 Championship courses at Rosapenna are less than 30 mins drive away
• Try surfing – there are 2 surf schools based in Dunfanaghy – Jaws Watersports and Narosa Life
• Take a day trip to Tory Island
• Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood, and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National Park, Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
• Enjoy diving in the clear waters of Sheephaven Bay 
• Go fishing on Sessiagh Lake or enjoy sea angling at Portnablagh

Booking Details

Booking deposit euro200 - with the balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period

The owner lives on site in separate accommodation at the lower end of this property and will be available should you need assistance.
