Rosapenna Courtyard - Downings

Rosapenna Courtyard is a 3 bedroom holiday home with a superb coastal location beside the  wonderful Rospenna Golf Resort and Tramore Strand with Downings beach just a short walk away.  From the holiday home, there are lovely views towards the golf course, Tramore Strand and Sheephaven Bay.

Idea Base for the Keen Golfer

For the keen golfer, the holiday home is an ideal base. The clubhouse of the Rosapenna Golf Resort is a 2 minute walk from the front door. Rosapenna has 2 top class 18 hole championship links courses - The Old Tom Morris course and the newer Sandy Hills Course. Just across the road is a 9 hole course, a fine 12-hole Pitch’n’Putt course and a driving range as well as a Foot Golf course for the soccer enthusiast!
There are two other fine 18 hole links courses in the locality that are within easy driving distance - Portsalon (21km) and Dunfanaghy (23km)

Superb Beaches

The holiday home is located between two beaches - The Blue Flag Downings Beach and Tramore Strand. Downings beach is popular for watersports of all kinds - sailing, windsurfing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and kite surfing.
Tramore is also a popular windsurfing venue and is perfect for long bracing walks. At the end of Tramore is a 1km long boardwalk across sand dunes and brush ending at a seafront bar and restaurant
In addition to Downings and Tramore there are numerous other fine sandy beaches dotted around the Rosguill Peninsula.

Downings and Carrigart

The holiday home is less than 1km flat walk from the centre of Downings and 2km from Carrigart. Downings is well served with hotels, pubs, cafes and craft outlets. It also has an indoor leisure centre with swimming pool. Carrigart also has a number of pubs and cafes. In addition, it has a dive centre and a number of equestrian centres.

• Go sea angling or sightseeing on Sheephaven Bay - licenced charter boats are available at Downings
• Take a trip around the spectacular coastal drives in the region -   the Atlantic Drive, Horn Head, Lough Salt Drive and the Fanad Drive
• Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep – Downings, Tramore Strand, Melmore, Tra na Rossan
• Enjoy diving in the clear waters of Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay - the Meevagh Dive Centre is based in nearby CarrigartVisit the enchanting Ards Forest Park
• Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National Park, Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
• Find numerous peaceful coastal roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk.
• Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.
• Take a day trip to Tory Island
• Cycle the Atlantic way, or any of the other beautiful backroads in the area.

The holiday home has a bright open plan design on the ground floor with kitchen, dining and living spaces.

The holiday home has the advantage of two living areas. The living space in the open plan area enjoys views of Sheephaven Bay. It has an open fireplace and a large screen lcd tv. A selection of board games is available.

The second living room also enjoys sea views and has an lcd tv - perfect for kids

  Kitchen

The kitchen area has a tiled floor. Appliances available include electric cooker and hobs, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is also a breakfast bar with high stools.

An adjacent utility area has a washing machine and tumble dryer
