Inverbeg Cottage Luxurious 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom waterfront holiday home with pebble beach on own grounds of over two acres in a peaceful tranquil location just off the Atlantic drive overlooking Mulroy Bay & Tra-na Rossan Strand only 5 minutes walk away & close to "Singing Pub", 2 miles from Downings village and set amid the spectacular scenery of north Donegal.

The water front aspect is onto Mulroy bay and a path leads directly to a secluded pebble beach. Ideal for alfresco dining and barbeque the freshly caught fish or just relaxing while enjoying the magnificent sea views.

Sit on the patio to the front of the house for breakfast and enjoy the panoramic views over Mulroy Bay and watch the Seals on the rocks in Bay and the fishing boats go past with their fresh catch heading to Downings Pier nearby.

This Stunning 3 bed 3 bath modern holiday cottage which sleeps 8 to 10 comfortably and has magnificent sea views from every window and elegantly furnished with all modern conveniences.

The ground floor is open plan and features a fully fitted modern kitchen with integrated appliances leading to dining area and very comfortable living area with stone built fireplace. French doors off the dining area lead to the large conservatory which is tastefully furnished and has doors opening onto the patio area which is equipped with a barbeque and furniture for complete relaxation on those long summer evenings. A separate toilet is also on the ground floor.The Utility room is located at the back of the house and has a door leading to the kitchen.

The master bedroom with King-size bed, ensuite bathroom and walk-in shower and Flat Screen TV. completes the ground floor accommodation. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs: Bedroom 1 has a King-size bed,a single bed with ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe, a large family bedroom with ensuite bathroom, 2 double beds a foldup bed and a cot. The house is situated on its own private grounds of over two acres and is completely safe for children.

 

Downings

Downings is a very popular tourist resort and fishing port with traditional pubs and live music all year round. This peninsula divides Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay and has beautiful scenery and the famous Atlantic Drive is a 12.8km drive around the Peninsula and enjoys truly spectacular views and golden sandy beaches.

The rugged landscape of the Rosguil Peninsula also provides the basis for many activities for tourists to enjoy including miles of golden sandy beaches and Water sports such as Water Skiing, Wakeboarding, Windsurfing, Deep Sea Diving, Sea angling & Boat charters. There is also Horse riding, Pitch and Putt and Hill walking and, there are excellent pubs, restaurants for dining out, music and dancing. 

Enjoy a swim at the modern Magherabeg Leisure Centre in Downings and the facilities include swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, kids pool and newly opened indoor soft play area for kids and also a bar and restaurant.

For gifts and souvenirs pay a visit to McNutt’s tweed shop and factory outlet. McNutts also have an excellent coffee shop beside the tweed factory. Also Joy’s of Carrigart have some lovely gifts.

 

Golf Courses

Within 4 km of the holiday home there are two championship golf links at Rosapenna - the Old Tom Morris Course and the Sandy Hills Course. The St Patrick's Course in Carrigart is 7 km away and is currently in the process of being redesigned by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.

Places to Visit

Within a half hour drive of the holiday cottage there are numerous places to visit. You have Glenveagh National Park, Ards Forest Park, Glen Lough, Lough Salt, Lakeside centre at Dunlewy all of which has something for everyone. Nearby in Dunfanaghy there is the Workhouse famine museum. Churchill has the famous Glebe House & Gallery and Colmcille Heritage Centre, Letterkenny has all the amenities you would expect to find in a large town - Cinema, Museum, Theatre, Leisure centres, Art galleries and excellent Shopping centres. A day trip to Tory Island is highly recommended.

There is good quality delph, cutlery, glasses and kitchen utensils provided for cooking and entertaining and enjoys stunning views over Mulroy Bay and Tra-na-Rossan Strand.
