No 10 Harbourside is a 4 bedroom holiday home with a stunning location in the popular beach and golf resort of Downings in North Donegal.

Stunning Location

Situated in a quiet small development just above Downings Harbour, this well appointed self catering property enjoys panoramic views over Sheephaven Bay from the headland at Rosapenna, along the sand dunes of Tramore and right round to the Forest Park at Ards, with Muckish mountain as an imposing backdrop.

From the front door it is a very short stroll to the harbour and the Blue Flag Beach. It is just 1km to the village centre and 1.5km to the two superb championship golf courses at Rosapenna.

Downings

Downings has a wide range of amenities for the tourist including lively pubs, hotels, craft and antique outlets, cafes, pitch and putt, foot golf and a leisure centre with swimming pool. The local beaches are popular for water-sports of all kinds including wind and kite surfing, sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding.

Wild Atlantic Way

Downings is also ideally situated for those who want to explore the wild Atlantic Way in North Donegal. The famous Atlantic Drive around the beautiful Rosguill Peninsula is now part of this route. The nearby Harry Blaney Bridge provides easy access to the Fanad Peninsula.

Travelling along the north west coastline towards Gweedore there are numerous headlands, rocky outcrops, sandy coves, offshore islands, small harbours and some of the finest beaches in Ireland. At Magheroarty pier there are ferry services to both Tory and Inishbofin Islands.

  • Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep – Downings, Tramore Strand, Melmore, Tra na Rossan
  • Enjoy diving in the clear waters of Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay - the Meevagh Dive Centre is based in nearby Carrigart
  • Golf at Rosapenna Golf Club – featuring two classic 18 hole links course. Other superb courses in the general locality include Dunfanaghy and Portsalon
  • Go Pony Trekking in the region – there are several equestrian centres in and around nearby Carrigart
  • Visit the enchanting Doe Castle and Ards Forest Park
  • Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National Park, Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
  • Find numerous peaceful coastal roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk.
  • Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.
  • Take a day trip to Tory Island

A separate utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer
