Sheila’s is a wonderful 4 bedroom family home, situated in the peaceful Derryhassen Downings, set on an elevated position it has picturesque views of Sheephaven Bay, Sheila’s has 4 spacious bedrooms two with En Suite, One large Bathroom upstairs & a WC downstairs, 2 reception rooms one with an open fire that opens onto the sunroom, the other is a games room complete with pool table/table tennis

Downings - A Popular Beach and Golf Resort

Downings itself is a vibrant seaside resort with a good choice of restaurants, friendly traditional pubs, craft shops and art galleries. It has an abundance of amenities for the visitor. The local beach is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts – swimmers, windsurfers and kite surfers. For those who like their beaches a little quieter, there is plenty more to choose from on the Rosguill Peninsula, including Melmore, Tra na Rossan and the wonderful Tramore Strand at nearby Rosapenna.

Rosapenna is the location of two superb championship golf links  - The Sandy Hills Course and the Old Tom Morris course. There is also a pitch and putt course and driving range at this top-class golf resort. Other facilities in Downings include the modern Magherabeg Leisure Centre. This centre is open all year and includes an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. Nearby Carrigart has an equestrian centre and the Mevagh Dive Centre.

Ideal tour Base for Donegal and the Wild Atlantic Way

Sheila's is ideally located to tour the wonderful scenery of North Donegal. Literally, on your doorstep, you have the renowned Atlantic Drive. This is a scenic drive starting in Downings and continuing around the rugged Rosguil Peninsula.

The holiday home is also within easy driving distance of two more of Ireland's most beautiful Peninsulas – Fanad and Horn Head. Heading towards Horn Head the visitor will pass the majestic Ards Forest Park, the Creeslough Lakes, Muckish Mountain and the popular beach resorts of Marble Hill, Portnablagh and Dunfanaghy. In the Fanad direction, you have the dramatic Fanad Head Lighthouse, the Knockalla Coast Road and the holiday resorts of Portsalon and Rathmullan. All three peninsulas are ideal walking terrain. Glenveagh National Park is less than 1 hours drive away.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of €100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period

€100 Damage deposit to be paid on arrival, will be returned on departure
