Maggies Cottage - Downings

Recently renovated 3-bed cottage to sleep 8, featuring high-speed fibre broadband, located on land adjacent to Murderhole and Melmore beaches. The popular beach and golf resort of Downings, with its shops, restaurants and hotels, is just a short drive away.

Downings

The nearby village of Downings has a range of small local shops along the main street. The harbour in the village is a working one with crab and salmon boats landing their catch daily. The long sandy beach is popular with water sports enthusiasts. Downings has a newly built modern leisure centre called Magherabeg Leisure Centre which is open to the public and features swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and gym.

Glenveagh National Park

Here, within a late 19th-century setting in a rugged and remote mountain valley, Henry McIlhenny from Philadelphia created one of the most celebrated gardens in Ireland. Woodland gardens and pleasure grounds, an Italian terrace with antique sculpture and terracotta pots, are all skilfully interwoven against the wild and beautiful Donegal landscape.

Ards Forest Park

As well as being one of the most beautiful, Ards is certainly the most varied of Ireland's forest parks. Bays, rivers, loughs, beaches, salt marshes, valleys, viewing points, deer enclosures and historic monuments are woven together by a series of fascinating nature trails.

Atlantic Drive

This spectacular drive begins in Downings village and it offers some of the most awe-inspiring scenery in County Donegal.
