Harbour View - Downings

Harbour View is a luxurious modern holiday home, on an elevated site with stunning views overlooking the beach and harbour area of the popular coastal resort of Downings in North Donegal. All the amenities of the village including the fabulous Rosapenna Golf Resort and the Magherabeg Leisure Centre are within easy walking distance

This wonderful bright and spacious holiday home features an open plan living and dining area with added conservatory all with plenty of seating  and enjoying panoramic sea views over Downings village, beach & harbour and across Sheephaven Bay towards the iconic Muckish Mountain . Also located on the ground floor is a kingsize bedroom with toilet and shower facilities next door suitable for the less mobile persons in mind. The upper floor has 4 large double bedrooms, 1 ensuite and 1 main bathroom with separate shower and bath.

Amenities in the Downings Area

The Downings area has an abundance of tourist amenities. It boasts two first class championship golf links at Rosapenna  - the Old Tom Morris Course and the superb new Sandy Hills course . The Meevagh Dive Centre in Carrigart is situated between Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay and offers diving all year round. Charter boats  based at Downings offer sightseeing trips around the local bays . They also cater for deep sea angling with Shark, Bottom, Wreck, Sand, Bluefin Tuna, Tope & Reef fishing.

The Blue Flag beach in Downing village is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts – including wind surfers, kite surfers, swimmers and water skiing . More secluded beaches are dotted around the Rosguill Peninsula. The Magherabeg Leisure Centre in Downings  is a modern leisure centre which is open to the public and features swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and gym.

The Atlantic Drive

The Holiday Home is situated near the starting point of the renowned Atlantic Drive – a truly spectacular coastal drive around the rugged Rosguill Peninsula.  On the western side of the peninsula the road skirts the shores of Mulroy Bay northwards towards Melmore Head. Along this route there are several fine sandy beaches and secluded inlets. There are also dramatic views of the Fanad Peninsula and the Mulroy Bridge. On the other side of the peninsula the road follows the shoreline of Sheephaven Bay – with wonderful views of Tory Island, Horn Head, Muckish Mountain and Ards Forest Park

The holiday home has a bright and spacious  open plan ground floor. The kitchen and dining area has a tiled floor. Appliances available in the kitchen include an electric cooker with gas hobs, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge with ice-box. The dining area has an elegant table and 6 chairs.
A separate utility houses a washing machine.

The Living Area enjoys wonerful panoramic views over Sheephaven Bay towards Muckish Mountain. It is comfortably furnished and features a solid fuelt stove and a flat screen tv

Tariff

Booking Details

A booking deposit (non-refundable) of €200 or stg£200 per week is required with balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival.

• rental is Saturday-Saturday only in July & August
• check in 5:00 pm, check out 10:30am

A Key / Security cash deposit (fully refundable once property checked & keys returned) of €150 or stg £150 is required at book in.
