Tra na Rossan View is a luxury modern 4 bedroom holiday home with a truly stunning setting on the beautiful Rosguill Peninsula in North Donegal. From its elevated site just off the renowned Atlantic Drive the holiday home enjoys views of the Atlantic Ocean, Tra a Rossan Beach, Crocknasleigh Hill, Mulroy Bay and the Hills of the Fanad Peninsula.
The two main living spaces in the holiday home take full advantage of these wonderful views. The spacious open plan area on the ground floor has large bay windows that offer an 180 degree view of the beautiful coastal scene outside. There are glass patio doors out to a paved patio area where the views can be appreciated in fine weather. On the first floor there is a large living room with equally impressive views. Again there are glass patio doors out to an enclosed paved balcony with outdoor furniture.
In the open plan ground floor area there is a stylish modern kitchen and a dining area. There is a separate room with kitchen storage units, a microwave and additional fridge. There are 3 double bedrooms on the ground floor – 2 share an ensuite shower. There is also a large shower room and a separate toilet. On the first floor there is a wonderfully spacious master bedroom with a large ensuite shower room, walk-in wardrobe and tv.
The holiday home has the advantage of a large double garage with remote control doors and direct access to the holiday home. Contained within this space is a second kitchen and utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The Rosguill Peninsula itself is a ruggedly beautiful peninsula extending north from the seaside resorts of Carrigart and Downings and ending in the dramatic Melmore Head. The small roads around the peninsula offer magnificent sea and mountain views and provide ideal walking and cycling terrain. Crocknasleigh Hill opposite the holiday home is a popular hill walking venue.
In addition to Tra na Rossan there are numerous secluded sandy beaches dotted around the peninsula. The iconic Murder Hole Beach at the tip of Rosguill is a true hidden gem along the Wild Atlantic Way. The renowned Singing Pub is a short drive from the holiday home. This quaint thatched pub serves great bar food and has a small playground for children.
The popular beach and golf resort of Downings is just 5km from the holiday home. Downings Blue Flag Beach is a mecca for watersports enthusiasts – winsurfers, kite surfers, kayakers, paddle boarders and swimmers. The resort is well served with hotels, cafes, pubs and craft outlets. The superb Rosapenna Golf Complex just outside Downings has 2 championship links courses, a driving range and a pitch & putt course. On the shores of Sheephaven Bay between Downings and Carrigart is the wonderful Tramore Strand.
The wider area around the Rosguill Peninsula has a number of major tourist attractions. Nearby Carrigart has the Mevagh Dive Centre and several Equestrian Centres. Heading towards the neighbouring Horn Head Peninsula you will find the iconic Doe Castle, Ards Forest Park and Dunfanaghy Golf Club.
The Mulroy Bridge provides access to the Fanad Peninsula where attractions include Fanad Head Lighthouse, The Knockalla Coast Road and the superb beach and golf course at Portsalon. The majestic Glenveagh National Park is just 28km away and Letterkenny - Donegals main town - is 35km away.
Tra na Rossan View has a wonderfully spacious open plan area on the ground floor. Large windows on three sides including front facing bay windows provide superb panoramic views of the breathtaking landscape outside - a landscape that changes mood daily with the ever changing sky. The windows and tiled flooring combine to provide a wonderful sense of openness, light and space. The living area has luxury sofa and armchair furniture and a large flat screen tv. A solid fuel stove provides a warm focal point for the room.
The front bay windows incorporate glass doors which lead out to a large paved patio area – a perfect spot for al fresco dining or to watch the waves on Tra na Rossan or Mulroy Bay
The open plan area incorporates a stylish modern fitted kitchen. Appliances available include electric oven and gas hobs, dishwasher and a large American style fridge freezer. The kitchen sink window looks out towards Mulroy Bay.
An adjacent dining area features an elegant dining table and 8 stylish dining chairs. The dining area enjoys views towards Crocknasleigh Hill and Tra na Rossan Strand via the large bay windows.
A separate room across the hallway houses additional kitchen units, microwave and a fridge. The double garage also has kitchen units and an electric oven.
The second living space in the holiday home is a large living room on the first floor. Again this room enjoys breathtaking panoramic views over the coastline on the northern tip of the Rosguill Peninsula. These views can be fully appreciated in the enclosed paved balcony that leads out from the room. This balcony is sheltered by sturdy glass panels and features outdoor furniture.
The room itself is carpeted and has comfortable sofa and armchair furniture. It has a large 55inch flatscreen tv.
