Dooey Beach House

Dooey Beach House - an old Irish seaside cottage recently renovated to a high standard and sympathetic to its origins. This delightful property is nestled in the valley of the Rosguill Hills, beside Dooey Beach - famous for its potential to view the Aurora Borealis. The Atlantic Drive is a popular route for driving, walking, and cycling. This is an ideal location for families and groups alike. Roughly 5km from the popular village of Downings, and roughly 5km to the famous Singing Pub. Downings is home to Rosapenna Golf Resort, has a leisure centre and kids soft play, as well as many beautiful beaches and hikes/walks.

Local Activities

The holiday home is 5km from Downings village and is conveniently placed for golf, fishing ( sea angling and freshwater), hill walks, horse riding and water sports. There are several magnificent beaches in the immediate vicinity - including the fabulous Tramore Strand. The nearby Rosapenna Golf Links boasts two renowned 18-hole championship courses. A further 3 km brings you to the picturesque village of Carrigart where you will find an equestrian centre and the Mevagh Dive Centre - Donegal's first purpose-built dive centre.

Downings

The village of  Downings itself is a very popular tourist resort and fishing port with good restaurants and  lively pubs - including the renowned Harbour Bar. It is situated on the beautiful Rosquil Peninsula. This peninsula divides Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay and contains spectacular scenery

North West Donegal

Within a thirty-minute drive of the cottage there are numerous visitor attractions. These include the majestic Glenveagh National Park and the beautiful Ards Forest Park near Cresslough. The lakeside centre in Dunlewy has something for all the family. In Dunfanaghy there is a workhouse famine museum. Churchill has the famous Glebe House & Gallery as well as the Colmcille Heritage Centre. Letterkenny has all the amenities you would expect to find in a large town - cinemas, museums, theatre, leisure centres, art galleries and excellent shopping.

Booking Details

Booking Deposit €200 - with the balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.

- Sat-Sat rental only during high season
- Weekends available during mid and low season

High Season: July/Aug/Easter
Mid Season: Mar/Apr/May/Jun/Sep/Oct
Low Season: Jan/Feb/Nov/Dec (except Christmas/New Year)
