Rosapenna View is a luxurious modern holiday home situated in a quiet cul de sac that lies just off the main road between Rosapenna and Downings Village. The holiday home enjoys views over Rosapenna and Sheephaven Bay towards Muckish Mountain. These wonderful views can be enjoyed from the sun room, the first floor minstrel gallery, the luxurious master bedroom and from the ground floor living area.
This newly built holiday home is finished to a very high standard. It has top class accommodation for 8 people. There are 4 roomy bedrooms - 2 of which are ensuite. The open plan ground floor is tastefully furnished and decorated. There are lawn areas around the house and around the small cul de sac which makes it a safe play area for children.
Less than 1km from the holiday home you have the fabulous Rosapenna Golf Club and Downings Blue Flag Beach. The Rosapenna Golf Club is now home to two of the finest courses to be found in Ireland– The Old Tom Morris Links and the new Sandy Hill Links. Both courses offer the golfer unparalleled views of Sheephaven and Mulroy bays and the highlands of Donegal. With the new Mulroy Bridge near Carrigart, the superb Portsalon Golf Links is now just 20 km from Rosapenna. The fine links at Dunfanaghy is a similar distance to the west.
The holiday home is about half way between the Blue Flag Downings Beach and the expansive Tramore Strand that skirts the Rosapenna Golf Links. Downings beach is popular for watersports of all kinds and now hosts a summer surf school. A charter boat operates from Downings harbour and provides opportunities for sea angling and sightseeing. The holiday home is just 10 minutes walk to the centre of Downings village. Facilities in the village include the modern Magherabeg Leisure Centre. This centre is open all year and includes an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. Nearby Carrigart has an equestrian centre and the Mevagh Dive Centre
With the opening of the Mulroy Bridge the holiday home is now centrally placed to explore three of the most dramatic peninsulas in Ireland – Fanad, Rosguill and Horn Head. The famous Atlantic Drive around the Rosguill Peninsula actually starts a short distance from the holiday home. The magnificent Glenveagh National Park is just 25km south west of Rosapenna. Glenveagh encompasses some 16,000 acres in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains. This vast wilderness is filled with many different varieties of wildlife including a herd of red deer and golden eagles. Within the park there is a visitor centre, Glenveagh Castle and gardens.
Rosapenna View is an ideal holiday base for the keen golfer, for the beach and watersports enthusiast and for the visitor who enjoys touring the dramatic scenery of North Donegal
The bright open plan ground floor has a spacious kitchen and dining area. The fully fitted oak kitchen has the following appliances - electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and toaster. Dining can be enjoyed on a large breakfast bar table with 8 comfortable stools. The floor in this area is tiled. An adjacent Utility Room has a washing machine and dryer.
The living area has a solid oak floor. It is beautifully furnished and decorated with a stylish open fireplace providing a focal point. For home entertainment there is a 40 inch lcd tv, dvd player and cd stereo.
The living area opens out to a large sun room that has wonderful views of the coastline between Rosapenna and Dowings - views that include Muckish Mountain and Downings Bay. The sun room is comfortably furnished and has a solid oak floor.
A first floor gallery overlooks the sun room and living area. The gallery enjoys sea views and is an ideal area for reading or just relaxing.
The holiday home has 4 spacious bedrooms to sleep 8 comfortably. All the bedrooms have solid oak floors.
There is a bathroom with bath and separate shower on the ground floor.
