Muckish View is a modern 4 bedroom holiday home located just outside the popular beach and golf resort of Downings in north Donegal.  It lies just off the route of the renowned Atlantic Drive which is now part of Irelands Wild Atlantic Way.  As the name suggests the holiday home enjoys views towards Muckish Mountain  - the master bedroom enjoys panoramic views of the mountain and Sheephaven Bay.

A Modern 4 Bedroom Holiday Home

The holiday home is beautifully furnished and decorated throughout. The  spacious open plan ground floor has large windows with floods the area with natural light and optimises the view of Muckish mountain.  The living area has  comfortable sofa and armchair furniture and feature an electric effect fireplace.

Kitchen Area

The kitchen area is fully equipped for a self catering holiday. The dining area has a large island style dining table and 6 elegant chairs. Double doors lead from the open plan area to a conservatory that enjoys views towards Muckish. With a flatsceen tv and stylish furniture this room acts as a second living space.

Bedrooms

The holiday home has 4 bedrooms to sleep 8 comfortably. 2 of the bedrooms are ensuite and there is also a  ground floor bathroom. A first floor gallery overlooks the living area and enjoys lovely coastal views.

The Beach and Golf Resort of Downings

The holiday home is just 1.5km from the centre of the popular beach resort of Downings. Downings beach is a mecca for watersports enthusiasts - swimmers, wind surfers, kite surfers and kayakers. The village is also well served with pubs and hotels. Above the harbour is the location of McNutts Craft Shop and Coffee Shop. The Magherabeg Leisure Centre above the village features an indoor swimming pool.

Rosapenna Golf Resort

Just 2.5km from the front door of the holiday home is the renowned Rosapenna Golf Resort. This complex features 2 championship links courses - the Sandy Hills Course and the Old Tom Morris Course. It also has a driving a range and a pitch and putt course.

The fabulous Tramore Strand runs along the length of the Rosapenna golf courses. It is perfect for bracing walks. It is just one of the many beautiful sandy beaches that are dotted around the Rosuguill Peninsula. The Atlantic Drive hugs the coastline of this rugged peninsula and has become a popular route for keen walkers.

Tourist Attractions

The wider area around Downings has a number of major tourist attractions. Heading towards the neighbouring Horn Head Peninsula you will find the iconic Doe Castle, Ards Forest Park and Dunfanaghy Golf Club. The Mulroy Bridge provides access to the Fanad Peninsula where attractions include Fanad Head Lighthouse, The Knockalla Coast Road and the superb beach and golf course at Portsalon. The majestic Glenveagh National Park is just 25km away and Letterkenny - Donegals main town - is 35km away.

There is a an electric fireplace with flame effect and a flatscreen tv. A furnished first floor gallery overlooks the living area.

The spacious kitchen and dining area has a tiled floor. Appliances available in the kitchen include electric cooker and hobs, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The dining area has a large island style dining table and 6 stylish chairs.

Double doors lead from the open plan area to a beautifully furnished conservatory which enjoys views towards Muckish Mountain. The conservatory also has a flatscreen tv with Sky.
