Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Wee House has recently been renovated with a lot of care and attention to detail. It is situated 3Km from the village of Creeslough nestled in the rugged surroundings of the beautiful Donegal countryside, with the foot of Muckish Mountain on its doorstep. Free WiFi for those who need to work remotely. Lovely and cosy with a wood-burning stove and a fire pit outside if you want to watch the sunset or stars at night.
The Wee House has a very central location on the North Donegal coast. Letterkenny - which is Donegal's largest town - is only 30km away and offers a wide range of retail outlets, cinema, theatre, restaurants, banks, hospital, etc.
There are few areas of Ireland which enjoy such an unspoilt environment with a wealth of opportunity for open-air activities. In addition to the beautiful beaches at Downings, Dunfanaghy, Marble Hill, Ards Forest Park and the entire region is a fisherman’s paradise with trout and salmon lakes and rivers in the area.
Within half an hour of The Wee House, there are several spectacular coastal drives including the Atlantic Drive, Lough Salt Drive and the coastal road around Horn Head.
Fanad Lighthouse, one of the world's most beautiful lighthouses, is located on the north coast of Donegal, on the wild and windswept Fanad peninsula, which is a 35-minute drive from The Wee House. (Guided tours of the lighthouse were available before the Covid pandemic.)
Rock and mountain climbing are popular in this spectacular landscape, with Errigal, Muckish and the Derryveagh mountains all easily reachable.
Windsurfing, water-skiing, sub aqua, canoeing and sailing are popular activities in the general locality - Marble Hill Beach.
For the golf enthusiast, there are four 18-hole courses - at Rosapenna, Dunfanaghy and Carrigart.
Horse-riding, cycling, hill walking and painting are ever popular in this beautiful area.
A herd of native red deer roams the mountains and valleys in the nearby 10,000-hectare Glenveagh National Park, famed for its castle, lakes, formal gardens, exotic plants and rare birds - including the recently reintroduced golden eagle. Tours of the castle are also available - payable.
In the more immediate locality of the holiday home, you will find the famous Lackagh Bridge, the historic Doe Castle and the enchanting Ards Forest Park. The historical Owencarron Viaduct is also close by.

This site is a dream to use; it has everything in place in a way that is easy to find. All the information I want is easily accessible and having numerous photos really gives you a good idea of the property. Looked at other sites and after a couple of minutes gave up. Your site has been very well thought through.
