The Cove - Glengad

Sea ViewsOpen FireCot & Highchair

The Cove is located on an elevated site and has truly superb views  over the rugged north Inishowen landscape to the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The house has a very large garden which is safe for children to play in. With cot and highchair being provided free of charge and a babysitting service available locally this lovely holiday home makes the ideal venue for a large family gathering or perhaps for two families who wish to share a holiday in this unspoilt part of Donegal.

Glengad

The nearby fishing village of Glengad has a long association with the sea. It looks out over the Atlantic Ocean with views of Inishtrahull and Rathlin Islands and further out to sea to the western islands of Scotland.
From The Cove its a five minute walk to the local shop and a fifteen minute walk to a pub with barfood and takeaway.

In the immediate area and within 20 minutes drive time there is a superb 18 hole links course at Ballyliffin, the Famine Village at Doagh Island and the renowned music venue, McGrory's of Culdaff. The village of Malin, twice winner of the National Tidy Towns Competition, is a 10 minute drive away. Ireland's most northerly point, Malin Head, is a 10 minute drive to the north. A new cycleway will soon link the local area with other parts of Inishowen and southwards to the historic city of Derry.

Other attractions within the Inishowen peninsula include:

Car ferry at Greencastle - this links the local area with north Co. Derry and brings a day trip to the Giant's Causeway within easy reach
Car ferry at Buncrana - opening up touring possibilities with the rest of Donegal
Guns of Dunree - military Museum and Interpretive Centre
Greencastle Maritime Museum - contains a huge range of artefacts relating to the long history of seagoing in this area
Buncrana - Inishowen's largest town has a superb children's play park and leisure centre with swimming pool.
Blue flag beach - at nearby Culdaff
