Everything you’d want from remote Ireland
This place was amazing .. great view and quiet. Exactly what we were looking for. It was a short walk to the village and the locals were so nice. We felt very safe with our 8 yearold there. Beautiful drives to the wild Atlantic way, the national park and Derry. The property manager is very responsive and we fully enjoyed this stay to the point where I don’t want to ruin this town with a review.

Wedding party
We stayed here for a week with our grown up family on the occasion of our daughter’s wedding. It was a great secluded location but a ten minute walk from the main town area. The bridal party got ready here on the morning of the wedding and with 3 bathrooms there was plenty of room for everyone. I would definitely recommend this house for a relaxing holiday.

Amazing location
Just back from a wonderful week here. House is really spacious for six adults and our dog. Beds are very comfy and great to have two en-suites and a large main bathroom. Kitchen has everything you need. Outside garden was great with famtastic views, truly in the heart of the wild Atlantic way, Nice walk down to the lovely village of Annagry where the locals are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend this house and it’s a great base to explore the stunning scenery in the area and beyond. Close to some of.the most amazing beaches if lucky enough to get the weather …. we will definitely return here next time we come to Donegal. Sharkey’s is great for a drink and the food at Caisleain Oir is so good but I’d advise to book as gets very busy. Look forward to our next visit.

Fabulous House Fabulous Place
The house itself is extraordinary. It is spacious and well equipped and its situation is wonderful. A small path down the hillside to the shore is a real treat and provides a wonderful opportunity to watch the summer sunset. It is not a fussy house, so it is easy to keep it clean and tidy. Annagry is a magical place. There are beaches nearby of soft clear sand, for sea bathing, castle building and kite flying, there are bars and a hotel and a coffee shop in the village itself, and there is access to the islands from the pier at Kincasslagh. There are guillemots, and cormorants, and in May there were cuckoos. As we watched the sunset from the tip of Cruit island, a seal broke the surface of the bay and gave us a good hard stare. We climbed Errigal, we walked in Glenveagh and we went to see Finn Harps play in Balleybofey. The house is well run and all our communication with the owner was easy, friendly and helpful.

Secret Gem
Awesome host and house , we were looking for something out away from the big cities and we hit the Jack pot . We were fortunate to spend time with Jim and he could share history about Donegal county and it’s people , we had a blast with the locals of Annagary and surrounding communities , thanks to Jim and the Annagary community

Canadian sisters vacation
A lovely, clean, private accommodation with more than enough room for four adults. The house was a great base for our exploration of Donegal. The path to the beach wasn’t quite as obvious as we had anticipated but the sunsets were lovely!!

Short family trip
We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the break. It was great to be able to bring our dog and have the secure garden for him. The house was really well equipped, plenty of towels and kitchen equipment. We used the BBQ both nights and lite the fire pit. Would recommend the house and Jim and Catherine were great hosts.

Beautiful Annagry
Overall we had a great time in this property which suited our needs exactly. Proximity to the bay which is extremely shallow was ideal for paddle boarding especially for young kids - barely more than knee deep at high tide. We travelled a good deal in the general Three Parishes area, visited beautiful Glenveagh, walked many of the immaculate beaches in the area and tasted the exquisite cuisine offered by many of the local restaurants - Danny Minnie’s in Annagry was really good and The Old Glen Bar in Glen is an experience not to be missed. Would highly recommend this property

Lovely tranquil location
The property was ideally located for us to explore Annagry and the surrounding area. The house was was well equipped, and Jim was always available to answer any queries. The views over the bay were stunning, especially at sunset. The main purpose of our visit was for my wife and her sister to rediscover their roots, their grandparents lived in and around Annagry. We also enjoyed the hospitality of Michael in Starkey’s Bar and the food and music in Leo’s Tavern and the wonderful food at Danny Minnie’s.

Just what we needed
After running around the island, spending a few days decompressing, sitting in front of a fire and eating salads was EXACTLY what we needed. Thank you for such a gorgeous place to enjoy the ocean and the peace.

Lovely property
It was a lovely property. Beautiful high ceilings. Comfy beds and big sitting/dining room. My friends loved it and would like to come back. Walking distance down to Annagry, so close to lovely restaurants and pubs. Nice and secluded too. Great choice.

We have stayed in many nice places throughout Ireland but this one is very special. We loved the paintings and photos on the walls which gave the house a welcoming and homely feel.

I`m in my favourite place, my back against the boulder, sitting on the wooden bench of Ard na nOilean. It`s beautiful here, extraordinarily peaceful and picturesque. The house and grounds are everything promised and more. The well appointed kitchen, great water pressure, spacious rooms, lovely art and magnificent fireplace contributed to an unforgetable vacation.

This house offers a great setting for getting away from it all. It is set in rural surroundings and yet close to all amenities.
From the first minute you have this cosy feeling.. sitting at the table enjoying the breathtaking views is wonderful.
The stunning fire place is a guarantee for romantic and relaxing evenings and makes the entire living room an experience in its own.
I can highly recommend this place, after having visited it for the second time! I will definitely come back if I have the chance.
The house and the Donegal area are worth visiting!

This is an excellent place to spend some Winter weekends. A lovely fire place, and very tastefully decorated and well equipped property with beautiful unobstructed views out to sea.
The village is also full of very friendly people, not to mention the housekeeper who was brilliant and on the end of the telephone if we needed any help.

Wonderful place in a beautyful landscape

Dia ghuit;
From the moment we arrived we were home. Brid has become family and helped us settle in from moment one. She is a dear. Nothing to out of the question. Joch was a little dear and we enjoyed him tagging along on outings to the beaches near by. The home here is lovely and very comfortable and spacious. We were four adults and we had plenty of room to spread out and with the three baths never had to wait to clean up or anything else. We BBQed outside at the new grill and enjoyed the view of the strand and the area of Annagry. We would most assuradly use this home again and we do want to remain in contact with this area for it is special and the land of Enya's family and Leo's pub. Great people, fantastic beaches and a fantastic home base to use for touring County Donegal and so much more. Thank you to the Galleghers for this wonderful home to call our own. Enjoy for all who stay here. Cead Mile Failte "100 Thousand Welcomes". Sla'n

We have had a fabulous week. Lots of sunshine and blue skies, some cycling, some walking mostly on the beaches, lots of rock pooling, some fishing, two of us climbed Mount Errigal and three of us went riding with Dunfanaghy stables (can recommend: lovely quiet horses gave us a wonderful ride down the beach, in the sea and back through the sand dunes). The house is fantastic - always warm, comfortable and welcoming. We love the fireplace and spectacular view. Would have been happy to have spent a day in the house in bad weather but we didn't have any ! Barbeques here and on the beach. Feel very lucky to have found this place - hope to come back! Many thanks to Jim and Christa for sharing this wonderful place.
The Hoyle family, Shropshire, England, May 2007

The views and location of the cottage are spectacular and should be treasured. It has been good to slow down and take long walks each morning; Guinness at lunchtime and great meals at Jack´s and Leo´s in the evening. Taking home fond memories and a few bags of turf - will keep it to burn at Christmas. Take good care.
The Johnson family, Riddlesden, West Yorkshire, England, June 07

Had a fantastic time - weather good and the house gorgeous. The nearby beaches were stunning with white sand and clear blue seas. We had a nice time walking and also riding the horses at Dunfanaghy - well worth a visit and not too far. Glenveigh park is great for a day out with beautiful walks next to the lakes and the Castle. Made BBQs most evenings - sat looking out at the stunning views with a glass of red wine - what could be finer! Can't wait to come back again.

We've had a wonderful time. The beaches are fantastic, scenery beautiful and enchanting, people lovely. Especially liked Inishfree beach and Dunfanaghy. The house is perfect, lots of room. The weather has been better than we expected it to be, but even the odd shower couldn't hold us back. We will be back.
