Whinpark House

Whinpark House is located at Glentogher - 5km south of the centre of Carndonagh in north Inishowen along the Wild Atlantic Way. It is within easy driving distance of all amenities and offers accommodation for up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms. This pet-friendly house is tastefully furnished and is equipped with free wifi.

Carndonagh

Carndonagh is the second largest town on the Inishowen Peninsula. It lies close to the shores of beautiful Trawbreaga Bay and is just 18km south of Malin Head, Ireland's most northerly point. It is an attractive market town laid out around a central square, or Diamond and has a great choice of cafés, pubs and shops. Carndonagh has a very active community of musicians, artists and writers and is home to the renowned Inishowen Carnival Group and the Inishowen Gospel Choir (both international performers).

Superb Golf and a Choice of Beach Resorts

With a location in central inishowen Whinpark House is centrally located between 4 of the main tourist towns on the Inishowen Peninsula – Malin Town (11km), Culdaff (14km), Ballyliffin (15km) and Clonmany (17km). The holiday home is just 20km from Moville on the shores of Lough Foyle and 18km from Buncrana on the shores of Lough Swilly.

Inishowen Beaches

Whinpark is centrally located between some of the finest beaches on the Inishowen Peninsula including Five Finger Strand, Pollan Beach, Kinnego Bay and the superb blue flag beach at Culdaff

The internationally renowned Ballyliffin Golf Club is just 14km from the holiday home and features two championship links courses – The Old Course and the Glashedy Course. Ballyliffin has been described as “the Ballybunion of the North” – and it's not hard to see why. The golf links cover 365 acres of magnificent duneland and is bounded by rolling hills and mountains – the only other boundary is the Atlantic Ocean.

There are also scenic golf courses at Redcastle (15km), Greencastle (22km) and at Lisfannon near Buncrana (22km).

• Visit the newly renovated Isle of Doagh Famine Village near Ballyliffin. This wonderful attraction depicts life in Donegal at different stages throughout history in an informative and enjoyable tour
• Go pony trekking from several Equestrian Centres in and around Malin Town
• Visit the Fort and Military Museum at Dunree.
• Go sea angling from Culdaff. The Inishowen Boating Company operates 2 purpose-built fast charter boats from Bunagee Pier Culdaff (12km). These fully licenced vessels offer sea angling and sightseeing on Lough Foyle
• Visit the Inishowen Maritime Museum in Greencastle, which includes a state-of-the-art planetarium
• Visit the historic walled City of Derry (22km)
• Take a trip around the famous Inishowen 100. This is one of Ireland's most scenic drives and is now part of the Wild Atlantic Way. The route includes dramatic coastal scenery plus a fine collection of ancient forts and monuments, traditional craft centres, and a dozen or so friendly villages. Scenic highlights include the Gap of Mamore, and Malin Head - Ireland's most northerly point
• Use the Greencastle to Magilligan Ferry to explore the northern coast of Northern Ireland - The Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Dunluce Castle are just some of the top attractions in this area.

Booking Details

Booking Deposit €250 - with the balance to be paid 3 weeks prior to the letting period. Fully refundable accidentally damage deposit of €200 to be payed at start of rental period

- Sat-Sat rental only during high season
- Weekends available during mid and low season
