Ards Forest Park (and Coffee Tree), Ards Friary (Coffee Dock) and Doe Castle are only a 5-minute drive away and well worth a visit.

Dunfanaghy Golf Course

BRAAI Restaurant

Situated in Creeslough on the main N56 close to the award-winning BRAAI Restaurant and local traditional pubs, Rose's Bar and McNulty's. BRAAI is a South African-influenced restaurant that grills food over an open fire. Book in advance to avoid disappointment!

Ards Forest Park

The holiday home is a short drive from the wonderful Ards Forest Park. This park covers approximately 480 hectares (1200 acres) and includes a variety of habitats, among them sand dunes, beaches, salt marshes, salt water lakes, rock face and, of course, mature coniferous and deciduous woodlands. With such a variety of landscapes, it is possible to spend many hours exploring this wonderful natural amenity.

The sea is one of the real treasures of this forest park and there are several trails -  the Binngorm trail, the Salt Marsh Trail and the Sand Dune Trail - which offer the hiker an opportunity to experience it in all its facets. There are a large number of trails in this park allowing the walker to explore a variety of habitats from foreshore and sand dunes to semi-natural oak woodlands on rock outcrops. By “stitching together” a number of trails, it is possible to hike for 5/6 hours on forest tracks and trails, taking in the full circuit of the park. The opportunities are endless.

In addition to forest walks the area around Ards Forest Cottage is ideal hill walking terrain. Indeed one of the hardest long walks in the country is the “Glover Highlander Walk” The first peak on the route is the nearby Muckish Mountain and the last is Errigal and it takes in all intervening summits.

Other Local Activities

There are also a number of magnificent beaches in this beautiful part of Donegal - Ards, Marble Hill, Tramore and Killahoey. Overlooking Marble Hill Strand is the superb new Shandon Hotel Spa and Wellness Centre. This modern Spa has a hydrotherapy floor and 8 treatment rooms.

The  village of Creeslough  is located near the shores of Sheephaven Bay and is surrounded by spectacular coastal and mountain scenery. Creeslough is centrally located among the main holiday resorts on the North Donegal coastline – Portnablagh, Dunfanaghy, Downings and Carrigart. These seaside villages have lively pubs and a good choice of restaurants.  Windsurfing, water-skiing, scuba diving, sea angling and golf are all available in this region.

For a holiday experience where forest and hill walks, superb beaches and wonderful scenery are all on your doorstep, look no further than this townhouse in Creeslough village

What they say

Congratulations on an absolutely wonderful site! I was going crazy researching availability on other sites - that did not state price, no. of rooms, bathroom facilities often (even after clicking three or four links) and also did not follow a pattern for each entry. Your site is delightful. I could go through all pages of entries and with the price details given immediately did not need to waste time over entries not within my budget.
