The heart of the house is a stunning open-plan living space featuring a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and comfortable lounge. Large doors open onto a covered terrace, creating the perfect spot to relax, dine outdoors, and take in the spectacular sea views.

Mezzanine with Look-out Window

A staircase leads to a charming mezzanine level with an additional lounge area and a lookout window, ideal for unwinding with a book or simply enjoying the scenery. This space also includes a comfortable double sofa bed, providing extra sleeping accommodation.

Covered Deck Area with Sea Views

The home offers two beautifully appointed bedrooms with warm wooden ceilings, each opening directly onto the spacious deck. Step outside in the morning to enjoy a coffee in the fresh sea air while soaking up the peaceful coastal surroundings.

Dungloe

Dungloe hosts a number of festivals and other organised events throughout the year catering for almost every taste. These include the internationally renowned Mary From Dungloe Festival which takes place each summer. During this 10-day event visitors to Dungloe are treated to a fantastic programme of music, song, dance and street entertainment. There is also a festival dedicated to the  local writer Peadar O'Donnell  each autumn. Nearby Burtonport has an 8 day summer festival in July each year catering for all age groups.

One of the main reasons why people come to the Dungloe area is its reputation as a great place for fishing. This is due in no small part to the work of the Rosses Angling Association. With over 130 lakes, the area is renowned for  both lake and river fishing. It is also a good base for sea angling with several charter boats based in nearby Burtonport

Activities / Attractions:

  • Fish for brown, sea and rainbow trout in some of the 130 lakes in the Rosses area
  • Go sea angling from nearby Burtonport or from Kincasslagh
  • Golf at Narin & Portnoo Golf Club or on the charming 9 hole course on Cruit Island
  • Try surfing at the Dooey Surf School based at Dooey Strand
  • Go diving from the Inishfree Diving Centre in Burtonport
  • Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk
  • Try some of the local award winning restaurants in the region.
  • Have breakfast in the fantastic butterock cafe (5 minutes walk)
  • Enjoy dinner in one of the lovely restaurants including The Bayview Bar. (all within 5 minutes walking distance)
  • Visit Leo’s Tavern in Meenaleck – the home of world renowned Clannad and Enya
  • Try some of the excellent beaches in the locality - Carrickfinn, Maghery and Dooey
  • Visit Dunlewey Lakeside Centre - Facilities include restaurant, tea-room, craft shop,  adventure play areas, pets & animals, storytelling, boat trips on Dunlewey Lake, guided tours and weaving demonstrations.
  • Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe.  Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
  • Walking distance to a large soft paly centre ideal for young children.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of £200 per booking - with balance to be paid eight weeks prior to the letting period

- Check-in 4pm, check out 10am
- Sat-Sat rental only during high season
- short stays available during mid and low season
- additional rental charge of £50 per dog for rental with dogs

- no booking or commission fees as you are booking direct with the owner

Cancellation policy:

For cancellations occurring at least 8 weeks (56 days) before check-in, a full refund will be given excluding the booking deposit.  If cancellations occur after 8 weeks prior to check in no refund is given.

- damage deposit - £200, to be given paid prior to stay and refunded on departure.
