The Brae Cottage
The Brae Cottage is ideally located in the heart of farming countryside in Donegal, boasting spectacular views overlooking Grianan Aileach fort, Wild Ireland and the City of Derry. 4mins from Burnfoot village and 9mins from Muff village. The cottage itself has the character of a homestead that was built in the late 1800s but enjoys the modern comforts as it evolved through the generations. It is a house that knows how to make you feel welcome and at home. You will understand when you get here.
Hi, I'm Majella. I will be hosting you during your stay at the cottage. The Brae Cottage is a holiday rental in the countryside near to Burnfoot village and a short drive from the centre of Derry. From the property, the stunning views overlook Derry city, An Grianan Aileach and Wild Ireland.

The cottage is surrounded by farmland with beautiful country walks. The yard is secure for children to play. If sitting with a cuppa or glass of wine whilst taking in the views and enjoying the quiet country surroundings is your idea of relaxing then the cottage is for you.

Cottage has two bedrooms (2x double beds + 1x single bed) One bathroom with electric shower + small toilet room. 1x family/living room with TV, WiFi, wood-burning stove. Second sitting room with an electric fire and desk area. Outside area with small walled garden. Ample parking space. WiFi at the property. When arriving at cottage access is via lockbox and I am always a phone call away for anything you need.

Quintessential Irish Country Home
There is so much to love about this cottage. It is the quintessential Irish country home, thousands of houses like this raised a nation for the last century. The attention to detail the host has put into preparing the property is clear to see, so many nice touches. The Irish brand treats in the kitchen when you arrive, the pre-set log fire ready to light and the cosy blankets in the lounge. The property was impeccably clean throughout, I mean spotless, I have OCD when it comes to cleanliness and could not find a single thing to fault! We settled in the minute we walked through the door, it felt like home from home straight away. The view out the front of the property is amazing, we sipped a drink outside, watched the sheep graze and breathed the fresh air. The smart TV had plenty of channels and all the usual apps and the WiFi worked perfectly, plenty of bandwidth for 3 of us. We were attending a family wedding 10 minutes away but we also took a trip to Wild Ireland nearby, Malin head and Tropical World in Letterkenny, all worth a visit if you stay here. The kitchen had everything we needed including all the basics you do not want to have to buy just for a short break like salt, pepper, cooking oil, tea bags etc, this was a nice touch. We will stay here again if we are back up in this area in the future.
