The Barn dates back to the 19th Century and has been recently beautifully restored. The Barn is a unique property and offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing and tranquil stay in a beautiful setting. The Barn has lots of character making it an unforgettable stay. This charming property is located in the seaside village of Portnablagh with its small beach and fishing pier. The Barn is the ideal base for exploring Donegal with a whole range of top attractions within easy reach.
The Barn is 150 years old and part of a number of out houses on the Mullen farm. The Barn was used for storing and thrashing corn. Housed in the first floor of the Barn was a thrashing mill, outside there was a circular mound called a ring course where the horse would pull the mechanics of the mill, this area has been restored and now is a tranquil patio area.
This charming barn is located a mile from the beautiful blue flag beaches of Marble hill and Killahoey, other golden sandy beaches in the area are Tramore, Ards Friary and Port na Blagh. The Shandon Hotel and Spa is just minutes away. The seaside village of Dunfanaghy is two miles from the Barn. The Barn is a good base for exploring Donegal, with Ards forest park, Glenveagh National Park, The Glebe Gallery, Dunlewey visitors centre and Muckish and Errigal mountains, to frame any holiday snaps, all within easy access.

This area is beautiful for the artist with many interesting and peaceful locations to set up the easel. Take a day trip to Tory island.
There are a number of fresh water lakes for fishing in the area, such as Sessiagh lake or Lough na Toohey or go sea angling from Port na Blagh.
