A Luxury Holiday Home with Stunning Views

The main living room of the holiday home is beautifully furnished and decorated and features an open fireplace.  The large front window provides panoramic views of the breathtaking landscape outside - a landscape that changes mood daily with the ever changing sky. The beautifully appointed kitchen has a dining area that also overlooks this stunning coastal visa.

The holiday home has several bedrooms to sleep up to 6 people. One bedroom is ensuite and there is a bathroom and a shower room. A small lawn outside has a paved patio area – the perfect place to have a barbecue with a view!

Form The New House’s idyllic and tranquil hillside setting it is less than a 1km journey down into the centre of the popular family seaside resort of Downings.  

This vibrant seaside village on the shores of Sheephaven Bay has a number of restaurants, coffee shops, friendly traditional pubs, craft shops and art galleries. A leisure centre with swimming pool – The Magherabeg Leisure Centre – is just a 5 minute walk from the holiday home.

Downings :: A Popular Beach and Golf Resort

Downings boasts a number of top class tourist attractions including a fabulous Blue Flag beach and two excellent 18 hole links golf courses at Rosapenna. Downings beach is popular for walking, swimming, wind surfing, paddle boarding and kite flying.  

Tramore Strand is just 2km from the holiday home. This fabulous and totally unspoilt beach runs along the Rosapenna Golf Club. It faces out onto Sheephaven Bay and is an ideal venue for a bracing walk. For those who prefer their beaches a little quieter there are numerous beaches dotted along the length of the renowned Atlantic Drive

The holiday home is an ideal base for the keen golfer. The Rosapenna Golf Resort is 2km from the front door. It features two superb natural links courses – Sandy Hills and the Old Tom Morris Course. There is also a driving range and pitch and putt course. The top class Portsalon links course is 22km away via the Mulroy Bridge and Dunfanaghy Golf Club is a similar distance to the west.

Ideal Walking and Cycling Terrain

There are plenty of opportunities for ramblers and hill walkers in this beautiful part of Donegal – coastal walks around the spectacular Rosguill Peninsula, woodland walks in the enchanting Ards Forest Park near Cresslough and hill walking in the North Donegal Highlands.

The Harry Blaney Bridge across Mulroy Bay provides easy access to the Fanad Peninsula whose terrain is also ideal for walking and cycling . 

The magnificent Glenveagh National Park is just over 25km from the holiday home. This park has over 16,000 hectares (40,000 acres) of mountains, lakes, glens and woods, with a herd of red deer and the recently reintroduced Golden Eagle.

A quaint castle is surrounded by one of the best gardens in Ireland, which contrasts sharply with the rugged surroundings.

The holiday home has a spacious living room which is beautifully furnished and decorated. A large front window provides breathtaking sea and mountain views. The room features an open fireplace, tv and dvd player.

  Kitchen with Dining Area

The holiday home has a beautifully appointed kitchen which has a full range of modern cooking, storage and cleaning appliances. A centre piece is an oil fired Rayburn range. An adjacent dining area enjoys superb views over the coastline at Downings. Sliding glass doors lead out to a paved and furnished patio area and a small lawn.

A separate utility houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The holiday home has 3 bedrooms. The accommodation make-up is as follows:-

• Bedroom 1:  Master Bedroom – Ground Floor – Ensuite with Bath –  Sea Views
• Bedroom 2: Double Bedroom – Ground Floor  - Sea Views
• Bedroom 3: Family Bedroom –  3 Single Beds - First Floor – Sofa -  Sea Views

There is also a bathroom on the ground floor and a shower room on the first floor.

Booking deposit (refundable) of €400 per week. Payment to be made six weeks prior to the letting period.
