Ideal Base for Family Holiday

The house is ideally situated to enjoy the best of County Donegal. Only 2 minutes from Donegal Town, with pleasant shops and plenty of cafes and restaurants plus you can take a trip on the waterbus round the outlying islands and watch for seals. Or head south to Ballyshannon (home of Donegal China), with its Waterworld leisure centre, or perhaps stop off at Rossnowlagh or Bundoran beaches. Within a half hours drive you also have the wonderful ‘Yeats Country’ in Sligo and the majestic Fermanagh Lakelands.

For golfers, the main course at Murvagh is less than one mile from the house, and there is plenty of fishing for the enthusiast.

• Donegal Town is of great historical interest and has numerous tourist attractions. Donegal Castle stands beside The Diamond, overlooking the River Eske. Guided historical tours of Donegal Town take place on a daily basis during the summer and the Waterbus takes you around Donegal Bay. The ruins of Donegal Abbey, situated on the bay, are open to the public.
• Golf - in addition to Murvagh there is fine 18-hole course in Bundoran
• Surfing - Nearby Rossnowlagh has some of the best surfing in the world and the European Championships have been held here a number of times
• Walking  - Many well-signed walks can be enjoyed in the  Bluestack Mountains.
• Crafts -Visit the wonderful Craft Village in Donegal Town
• Horse Riding -  There are several horse-riding and trekking establishments in the area where you can enjoy an afternoon on horseback, riding through some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery.
• Cycling South Donegal abounds with small, winding roads which offer spectacular views around every corner and are ideal for cycling.
• Angling -  for game, coarse and sea angling with sea angling boats available for local chartering. (The first salmon of the season is frequently caught in the River Drowse)
• Waterworld in Bundoran - one of Ireland's leading Indoor Aqua Adventure Playground is located on the seafront in Bundoran

Booking Details

Booking deposit euro150 - with the balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period

- A damage deposit of 150 euro is required upon arrival (returnable on departure)

- Check-in 4pm, check out 11am

- Rental Sat – Sat except by special arrangement

- Weekends available during mid and low season or by special arrangement during high season

- Sorry we do not accept stag or hen party bookings.
