Seascape Cottage - St. John's Point

Located just off the Wild Atlantic Way, on the stunning St John's Point, one of Ireland's longest peninsulas, Seascape is the perfect place to escape and explore the beautiful South Donegal coastline. The house is located on its own private road and furnished to the highest standard easily accommodating 6 people with sea views from all rooms. From the house the famous Coral Beach is a 5 minute walk with St John's Point Lighthouse a further 20 mins offering breathtaking sea views on both sides of the peninsula.

Local Activities

Activities in the immediate area include an equestrian centre at nearby Bruckless featuring both indoor and outdoor arenas. For the marine enthusiast there is sea angling charters (including tuna charters), scuba diving, and marine sightseeing tours – these are based in Killybegs, Teelin and Donegal Town. Sea fishing may be enjoyed off the rocks at St.John's Point. Mackerel and Pollock and are plentiful in high season.

For the golfer the cottage is ideally situated for playing the great links courses of south Donegal including the Donegal Golf Club at Murvagh, Narin & Portnoo and Bundoran. Those who simply want to enjoy the natural beauty of this part of Ireland will be spoilt for choice - from the windswept St. John’s peninsula on your doorstep to the spectacular sea cliffs at Slieve League and from the majestic Blue Stack Mountains to the beautiful beaches at Fintra, Narin and Rossnowlagh.

McSwyne's Castle at St John's Point

The ruins of the ancient castle, battered by Atlantic gales, still remain a prominent of the long, narrow headland of St. John’s Point. Sometimes called Rahan Castle, this landmark has a storey dating back to the 15th century and to the Mac Swyne’s who were a notable Donegal Clan from earlier times.

Tariff

Booking Details

Booking deposit of euro200 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period. During July and August bookings are Sat-Sat only.

Booking deposits are non refundable.
