The River House offers luxury accommodation with wonderful spaces which is furnished and decorated in classic style. You will instantly feel relaxed. The house facilities are top class with luxury linen and generous provision. Great cafes, food retailers, restaurants and pubs are on your doorstep in the trendy and lively town of Ramelton.
The kitchen/dining/sitting area is a large high ceilinged room flooded with light. There is a separate formal dining room, with a wood-burning stove to seat 8 people, though a bed can be made up here too. A third bed can be added to the twin bedroom. There is a separate large library/living room with an open fire.
There is a large enclosed courtyard from the main room, and a large enclosed garden behind that. The house is in the middle of the main square in Ramelton, yet is very quiet. The main day room and two of the bedrooms are at the back of the house. The front of the house looks directly onto the river. The back of the house gives views to the tranquil courtyard and the sumptuous garden beyond. There is a wooden summer house in the garden.
The River House is located in the heart of the Heritage Town of Ramelton, on the Wild Atlantic Way. This picturesque town has managed to retain much of its old-world charm and character through preserving many of the wonderful historical Georgian buildings that give the village a distinctive identity in this part of Ireland. The village is not only blessed with wonderful architecture but also with a beautiful location on the banks of the River Lennon.
The village has many quaint pubs - the Bridge Bar is a highly regarded music venue while Conway's Pub enables the visitor to take a step back in time. The weekly Country Market is renowned for fresh vegetables, home baking, and local handcrafted gifts.
County Donegal as a whole is renowned for its unspoilt beauty, superb blue flag beaches, rugged landscapes and its heritage including the breathtaking Gleanveagh National Park. The River House has a central location in the county and this makes it an ideal base to tour this beautiful part of Ireland. The spectacular landscapes of the Fanad, Rosguill, and Inishowen Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands, and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all with an hours drive.

We have loved every second of our stay. The house is amazing, honestly one of the best I have ever booked. Everything has been thought of. It was just so easy to settle in and make this our home for the week. Ramelton is just beautiful
