This is a really beautiful house & location. The beach at the end of the garden is lovely and a great spot for kids to explore and any of the beaches we visited locally were breath taking.
The drive from Rathmullen to Portsalon is also spectacular if you get to do it. We will definitely return.

Truly one of the most amazing and unique setting of any Airbnb we've ever stayed at. The private access to the natural setting is phenomenal, and the house is wonderful as well!
The views are so good you may never want to leave, but make sure you do. Take the trail down to the beach and explore the cave and you'll be rewarded with a memory you'll cherish forever.
Our family certainly will. Don't hesitate, book it.

A beautiful, peaceful house in an idyllic setting. If you want somewhere to recharge and relax this is it! The house is perfectly situated for exploring the Fanad peninsula with the lighthouse and superb beaches on your doorstep. The beach with sea cave beyond the garden is amazing and our kids loved it. The house has everything you could ever need including WiFi and the kitchen is fully equipped. A dream location, we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

"Stunning" was the word we'd read in all the reviews. Now, we understand. Words don't really describe the place....the house the grounds, and especially the beach. Just beautiful.
Communication either the host was just right, too. You won't go wrong. Book with confidence.

I loved staying here! I enjoyed going through the cave on the beach and body boarding at Drumnacraig beach. We went to Ballyhiernan but were sad to see the biggest sand dune had collapsed. We found lots of sand shells on the beach and did a competition for who has the best one. We went on the ferry to Buncarna and drove all the way to Malin Head. We had a brilliant time. July 2017

We had such a fun time at An teach Illanmore. We went on walks every day on different beaches and on Halloween (my birthday) we went into Derry and dressed up (I went as a dinosaur). We went out for lunch and dinner almost every day and on our last day we had a bonfire on the beach.I really don't want to leave because we haven't explored everything yet. PS we also collected shells. 1/11/2017

In Donegal we had a great time. I loved going crab fishing and picking blackberries. Every day we went to the beach, actually we went about twice a day. And the beach is only over the fence in our back garden! 28/08/17

Thanks again for an incredible week in Donegal. This is our second time at An teach Illanmore and we just fall more and more in love with the place. We are four siblings who live in different parts of the world but we all find this little corner of Ireland magic, as do our partners and kids. Please don't ever mow the meadow, we love the walk to the beach. It's hard to leave but we'll be back.12/08/2017

Writing on the last night of a fantastic stay in this georgeous corner of the world. The house has been a haven of peace and comfort for us at a busy and daunting time, and we're already looking to coming back asap. We'll miss the beach at the end of the garden and all the other charms here on offer, but will take some great memories home along with a lot of photos.

We've had a wonderful holiday here. There have been lots of things for all seven of us - aged from thirteen to eightytwo - to enjoy, but the best have been the sights and sounds nearby , such as the walk by road to Pollaid Great Arch and back home by the beach. We ventured further afield to the Ulster Amaerican Folk Park near Omagh and it is absolutely fantastic- well worth the journey.

I have had a great time in this beautiful house. The view of the sea was beautiful, and it was lovely just a stone's throw away from Doaghbeg beach. We often go to the beach but this week we were practically living on it. we went almost every day and had little bonfires. Once we has 2 little swallows repeatedly flying at the window. We think they had seen their reflection in the enormous windows. Twice we spotted massive birds of prey gliding in the skies. Thanks, Oisin, 11

Have been to many places in Ireland, both North and South and I think I can honestly say that 'An teach Illanmore' is the most beautiful. Wonderful house with absolutely everything-stunning views which produce a 'wow' every time the curtains are opened. An awesome place-perfect for a complete get away in total tranquility.

My favourite part of this holiday was the beach and caves beside the house. It was amazing and so peaceful. I especially enjoyed looking at the otters on the beach, and the rabbits and the ponies in the back garden. The beach in Portsalon was great. I couldn't recommend it enough. It is very child friendly, although you should watch out for the tide as it comes in quite fast. The house was very comfortable and modern. especially enjoyed Sarah's restaurant in Portsalon, I recommend it. We loved the cat, she was so cute and cuddly, and we named her Phoebe. We also loved the ice-creams from O'Doherty's shop. Altogether we really enjoyed this holiday and we all had a relaxing break from the city and we will go back to school refreshed.

Imagine a modern well-equipped and meticulously well maintained house sitting above your own private beach!
The house is large with well appointed furniture. Splendid views of the coastline are available from the master bedroom, dining/kitchen, and living area on the first floor. There are three bedrooms upstairs with outstanding views.
Bathrooms are spacious, well appointed, clean and modern.
The kitchen is a delight. All equipment was in good working order with clear instructions for the user. Any possible kitchen implements can be found in the well appointed galley. Dishes, cups, silver ware, wine glasses, were all there together with coffee cups and coffee awaiting our arrival.
It is a short walk from the house to the beach below. The area is very private with magnificent views of the bay.
The price included everything. No extra charges for fuel or electricity.
