The cottage has superb, panoramic seaviews overlooking Lough Swilly, the Golf Fairways and Golden Sandy Beach within walking distance that only few people know about – often described as a “Hidden Gem”

Letterkenny, Co. Donegal’s main town is only a 20 minute drive by car. It has a 5 Screen Cinema, public Swimming Pool, urban Parks, Theatre, Arena 7 Bowling Arcade, Tropical World and of course a wide variety of Shops.
The historic walled City of Derry is only within an hours drive of the cottage.
Head northwards along the Knockalla Coast Road from the cottage and you’ll find one of the most spectacular drives in Ireland. Donegal is renowned for its unspoilt beauty, blue flag beaches, landscapes and heritage including Glenveagh National Park and Visitor Centre open all year round.

The kitchen and dining area of Otway Cottage has magnificent sea views over Lough Swilly and comes fully equipped to ensure you have true home from home holiday experience. Facilities include:
The main living room is located to the front of the house to take full advantage of the superb sea views. It features a natural stone fireplace and leather furniture. Attached to the lounge is the sunroom - relax here and watch the golfers make their along the fairway or view the sailing and fishing boats as they make their way up and down Lough Swilly
From the sun room you have wonderful sea views - perfect for relaxing after a day spent fishing, hill walking or golfing. The view also encompasses a nearby Martello tower built in Napoleonic times on a rocky headland jutting into the lough. Otway Golf club is reputedly the second oldest course in Ireland and as it is literally on your doorstep you can enjoy this challenging little course at any time of day. A short walk takes you to a lovely secluded little sandy beach which you will often have to yourself.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms to sleep up to 7 people. The 2 double bedrooms on the upper floor are ensuite and have uninterrupted sea views. The ground floor bedroom has a double and single bed.

Another chance to appreciate this lovely cottage, with its spectacular views. Linda & Eamon are the perfect hosts. The addition of the dishwasher was most welcome as the children didn’t have to wash by hand after each meal. There was no complaining . Thank you for a lovely break.
