The house is a fabulous 4 bedroom holiday home. Ideally located in the renowned resort of Portsalon in North Donegal. This beautifully furnished and decorated self catering accommodation has a wonderful location. The house is a 3-4 minute walk form Portsalon golflinks and clubhouse ( rated 7th best in Donegal and 23rd in Ireland by Golf Top 100), close to the BlueFlag beach on the shores of Ballymastoker Bay and literally only a few minutes walk from the quaint village harbour.  You could easily park your car up and leave it untouched for the length of you stay!

The house is situated in a small, attractive, private gated community which borders the golf club. It  has 4 spacious bedrooms – 2 of which are ensuite. In addition there is a bathroom and a shower room – ensuring no queuing for washing facilities after a hard day on the golf course or beach. The comfortably furnished living room has a wood burning stove. The stylish modern kitchen is fully equipped for a self catering holiday while the bright dining area has double doors that lead out to large decking area with tables and chairs. The houses is in a secure gated development making it a safer environment for kids to play around.

Blue Flag Beach and Golf Club on your Doorstep

The superb Blue Flag Portsalon beach awarded an "Excellent" quality status by the Environmental Protection Agency and is only a few minutes walk from these holiday homes. This 4km long beach stretches from the harbour in Portsalon village all the way to the foot of the majestic Knockalla Mountain.   The beach is popular for swimming, walking and watersports with surfing taking place at the Knockalla end.

Running along much of the length of this beach is the superb Portsalon Golf Course - a classic 18 hole links course. Portsalon Golf Club is now ranked No 23 in Ireland by the Golf Top 100 and is also No 7 in Donegal.  With the opening of the Mulroy Bridge the 2 championship golf courses at Rosapenna are now just over 20km away from the holiday home.

Portsalon Village

Portsalon itself is centred around a very quaint harbour that is overlooked by a pub, restaurant and a water sports centre where kayaks, pedal boats, wetsuits and boogie boards can be hired. A charter boat also operates from the harbour and is available for sea angling and sightseeing on Lough Swilly. The golf club also has a bar and restaurant while there is also a local convenience store with a deli and off-licence at the Ardglass crossroads.

Portsalon is located on the Fanad Peninsula. This rugged but beautiful peninsula stretches north from the village of Milford via Kerrykeel to Fanad Head and back down to the heritage village of Ramelton via Rathmullan. It contains numerous bays, glorious beaches, rugged mountains, rolling hills and numerous small lakes. For the enthusiastic walker it is ideal walking terrain.

The holiday home has a bright kitchen and dining area with floor tiles. The fully fitted modern kitchen is well equipped for a self catering holiday. The dining area has a stylish wood dining table with 8 chairs.  The dining area has double doors to an extensive outside decked area with rattan table and 8 chairs great for al fresco dining. A utility room features a microwave, toaster, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Tariff

Booking Details

€200 Booking deposit (non-refundable) per week, booking will not be confirmed until deposit is received. The balance is to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period, once paid the balance is non refundable. If booking is less than six weeks prior to letting the total amount must be paid at time of booking. Damage deposit €/£200 is payable in cash on arrival and is fully refundable on departure if there is no damage. Check in 4pm check out 10am sharp to allow cleaning between guests.
