Murvagh Beach Cottages - Donegal Town

Murvagh Beach Cottages are set in a very quiet, tranquil beach side location, where you are only a five minute walk from your door to the beach . These cosy and tastefully decorated cottages nestle on a hillside, against the back drop of Murvagh Forest. It is a perfect place for anyone looking to escape the rat race and is ideal for large groups that wish to rent several cottages together.

The properties have been recently renovated with 3 bedrooms and accommodating up to 6 or 7 people. Each cottage has a private lawn and patio area. Murvagh beach is very popular for people learning to surf and kite surf, and you are only 15 mins drive to Rossnowlagh if you want larger wave's. If you enjoy horse riding, trails along the beach and through the forest can be arranged.

Murvagh Beach Cottages are beside a Blue Flag Beach and Donegal Championship Golf Club. The nearest bar, restaurant and shops are within 2km. Murvagh is situated between Donegal Town (8km) and Ballyshannon (6km) Both towns have a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and traditional music on offer.

Donegal Town

Donegal Town is high on a list of places to visit in Ireland. It was home to both the O Donnell Clan (1200-1600 AD) and the Four Masters, the most famous and renowned of all Irish scholars. Daily tours of Donegal castle are available in the summer. A tour of the Donegal Coastline can be appreciated onboard the local Waterbus. The picturesque Lough Eske and Eas Dún Falls are within a short drive of the town with stunning views of the Bluestack Mountains.

• 15 mins drive from Bundoran, a seaside town that boasts some of the best surfing in Europe, indoor Waterworld facilities, sea-weed baths and a lively nightlife.

• 15 mins drive for excellent fishing at Lough Melvin and the River Drowse.

• Within an hour’s drive of Yeat’s Country, Glenveagh National Park and Slieve League, the highest sea-cliffs in Europe.
