Mullaghderg Apartment is a modern 1 bedroom apartment located along the Wild Atlantic Way between Kincasslagh and Annagry. The apartment has views towards Mullaghderg Lake and is a 5-minute walk from the beautiful Mullaghderg beach. Donegal Airport is just 3km from the front door while Dungloe - the Capital of the Rosses - is 10km away. The Apartment is a perfect couple getaway however can accommodate a 3rd person (sofa bed in Living Area)
The apartment itself has an open plan design. There is a well-equipped kitchen, bright dining area and a comfortably furnished living space. The bedroom features a king-sized bed and walk-in wardrobe. An adjacent shower room has an electric shower. Outside there is a furnished patio area.
The holiday apartment is within easy driving distance of some of the main villages of the Rosses area of west Donegal - Kincasslagh, Annagry, Loughanure and Burtonport. Its a 2-minute drive to the nearest village of Kincasslagh where you can find a convenience store, pub and post office. Kincasslagh also has a quaint harbour where a charter boat is based.
Nearby Annagry has a hotel, several lively pubs and the renowned Danny Minnies Restaurant. Just north of Annagry is the scenic Carrickfinn Peninsula which has one of the finest Blue Flag Beaches in Donegal. The beautiful lake at Loughanure is a very popular fishing destination.
Burtonport is a busy fishing port and is the base for the ferries to Aranmore Island. It has a week long summer festival each year. The annual Mary from Dungloe Festival goes from strength to strength and features a great programme of events for young and old
The apartment is just 3km from the bridge that links Cruit Island with the mainland. Cruit has some of the most beautiful - and uncrowded - beaches in Donegal. The island has a uniquely rugged landscape featuring some spectacular rockscapes.
It is mainly flat with narrow winding roads making it ideal walking terrain. The charming 9 hole Cruit Island Golf Club is located on the northern part of the island.
Cruit Island is also an E.U. designated "Special Area of Conservation". The island dunes are home to a variety of wildflowers and rare bird-life.
The route of Slí na Rosann passes close by the holiday apartment. Slí na Rosann is a 65km circular route covering much of the Rosses area. The Burtonport Old Railway Walk is signposted walk that follows the route of the old Letterkenny & Burtonport Extension Railway. For the more adventurous, Mount Errigal - the highest mountain in Donegal - is just a short drive away.
There are a number of worthwhile day trips that can be enjoyed from the holiday apartment These include nearby Aranmore Island, the Dunlewey Lakeside Centre, the Fintown Railway, the magnificent Glenveagh National Park and Letterkenny - Donegals main shopping town that also has a multi-screen cinema, theatre, county library and museum and the modern Aura leisure centre.
Mullaghderg Apartment is ideal for a couple looking for a quiet getaway and is an excellent base for exploring The Rosses area of West Donegal.
The holiday apartment has an open plan design with kitchen, dining and living areas. The kitchen area has a tiled floor. Appliances available include electric oven, ceramic hobs, microwave and fridge freezer.
From the open plan area, there are lovely countryside and lake views. The living space features a 3 and 2 person sofa and Elegent Armchair and Footstool. The 2 seater sofa is also a Sofa Bed (extra Bed Linen Included for Sofa Bed)
For home entertainment, there is a FLat screen 40" tv and DVD player and sky Channels.
The bright dining area features a circular glass table and 4 elegant dining chairs. For al fresco dining there is a patio area with outdoor furniture.
The apartment has one spacious bedroom with a king sized bed and walk-in wardrobe. There is an adjacent shower room with electric shower. The Apartment is a perfect couple get away however.

I travel a lot so I'm always looking for interesting places to stay - anything to avoid another carbon copy hotel - and this has got to be one of the best local travel sites I've seen. Plenty of detail, tons of photos, excellent location info and clear pricing - everything I need to make an informed call.
