A short review of our trip to Donegal. We arrived in Donegal on the 5th of November and felt welcome in Lismore Cottage. A beautiful, spacious cottage with fantastic views of the Bay. And with all the equipment you need. Great beds also. And only 15 minutes walk to the town centre. In Donegal, we had a superb dinner at the Italian restaurant La Bella Donna twice! The Harbour restaurant was also ok. We went to Slieve League. Majestic cliffs (the best of Ireland) and a great walk!! We visited The beach at Rossnowlagh and the award winning Pub Smugglers Creek on the cliffs overlooking the coast. Great! We also drove to The Rosses, amazing sea views. And everywhere we came in county Donegal, we smelt peat. Ireland on its best. And of course: we had some pints of Guinness, a few whisky’s and a lot of fun in the pubs. With music of the Pogues and Goats don’t shave J. A great trip!
