Lismore Cottage - Donegal Town

Located on an elevated site on the Old Golf Course Road, just outside Donegal Town, this modern, luxury cottage has panoramic views over Donegal Bay and the surrounding coastline. The views can be enjoyed from the conservatory, dining area, living room and from the two upper floor bedrooms. The fabulous Blue Flag beach at Rossnowlagh and Donegal Golf Club at Murvagh are a short drive away while the many attractions and amenities of Donegal town itself are within easy walking distance. Lismore Cottage makes the ideal base for your family holiday in Donegal.

Surrounding Area

Donegal Town is very popular during the summer months, and it is a gateway to the southern part of County Donegal. There are many fine, sandy beaches in the area boasting some of the best surfing conditions in Western Europe. Donegal is also used as a base for hill-walking in the nearby Bluestack Mountains.

Visitors to Donegal Town will be able to purchase the world famous Donegal Tweed which you can also see woven in the Magee Shop on the Diamond. Donegal Parian China, Belleek China and Celtic Weave China can be obtained too.

The Donegal Bay Waterbus is a purpose built, luxury passenger boat, capable of comfortably taking 165 passengers; seated on lower and open top decks on a sight seeing cruise they will remember for the rest of their lives. Fully equipped with state-of-the-art navigational and safety systems, ladies and gents, wheelchair accessible, toilets and of course full bar facilities, where you can partake of a selection of wines, spirits, beers, as you sit on top-deck in the Donegal sunshine, or on the comfortable cushioned seats below, sailing around Donegal Bay.

You can also enjoy guided tours in the nearby towns where this china is produced. Here you can see first hand the skills that go into the creation of these crafts. In Donegal town there is an excellent range of craft shops and high quality souvenir outlets selling tweed, hand knits, lace, porcelain and china.

Donegal Golf Club on the Murvagh peninsula in Donegal Bay, hence it is generally known as Murvagh, just six miles from Donegal Town, one mile off the N15 on the south side. The links is isolated from the outside world by a forest of evergreens washed on one side by the great Atlantic Ocean and with a panoramic view of the Bluestack Mountains.

The living room is located to the front of the house, has an open fireplace, comfortable furnishings and is equipped with tv, video and dvd. The large window affords lovely views over Donegal Bay and the surrounding countryside.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 7 or 8 people. The two upper floor bedrooms have fabulous views over Donegal Bay and share a bathroom with full bath and overhead shower. The ground floor double bedroom is ensuite and has a babys cot.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro 200 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
