Kiln Fort

Kiln Fort is a large 5-bedroom holiday home located 5km to the north of Rathmullan along the Wild Atlantic Way. It features a large garden with hot tub, firepit and a selection of kid's play equippment. The holiday home is pet-friendly and has free wifi.

Kiln Fort Facilities

Upstairs there are three king rooms, two with ensuites. Downstairs there are two king rooms, one with an ensuite, and the main bathroom. There is also an open plan kitchen/living room with a wood-burning fire. The kitchen table can sit 10 people and the living area has two 4-seater sofas.

Hot Tub and Fire Pit

Outside there is a wood fired hot tub, fire pit area with firewood supplied and an 8 seater picnic bench.

Ideal Location

The house is a 5 minute drive from Rathmullan seaside village and a 2 minute drive from wonderful coastline and beaches. The Otway golf course is only 1.5km from the house. Beyond the golf course is a lovely sheltered cove for swimming and beach days. There are some great places to eat and drink in Rathmullan including Rathmullan House for fine dining, the Pavilion for wood-fired pizza and craft beer, Belle's Kitchen for coffee and baked goods or a relaxed lunch or dinner, and the beachcomber bar for a drink with a view.

North Donegal

Fanad lighthouse is a signature point on the Wild Atlantic Way that overlooks the North Atlantic Ocean and only a 30 minute drive from the house. Other local attractions include Glenveagh Caste, Ramelton heritage town, Tory Island, Doe Castle, Downings, and Ards Forest Park which are all within a 45 minute drive.

The house is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, just outside Rathmullan, recently named by the Guardian as one of Ireland’s ten most charming villages. In their words, “the village is the gateway to the beautiful east coast of the Fanad peninsula, one of the most northerly points in Ireland and home to some of its finest beaches along Ballymastocker Bay; and the ridged mountains offer spellbinding views across valleys, lakes and coast.

Booking Details

Booking Deposit €200 - with the balance to be paid six weeks before the letting period.

- Check-in 3pm, check out 10.30am
- minimum stay is 2 nights
- no booking or commission fees as you are booking direct with the owner
- Weekends available during mid and low season

High Season: July/Aug/Easter
Mid Season: Mar/Apr/May/Jun/Sep/Oct
Low Season: Jan/Feb/Nov/Dec (except Christmas/New Year)
