Horn Head View is a lovely 3 bedroom holiday home located just outside the picturesque village of Carrigart in North Donegal. From its elevated site the holiday home enjoys wonderful views over the Rosapenna sand dunes towards the dramatic Horn Head Peninsula.
This neat holiday home is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout. The living room, the sun room/ conservatory and the ensuite ground floor bedroom all enjoy superb coastal views. The grounds are well maintained. An added bonus is garage which can be used to store bicycles, golf clubs, fishing rods etc.

The holiday home is less than 1km from the centre of Carrigart village. This small but vibrant seaside town has been a popular family holiday destination for generations. It is well served with shops, pubs, café’s, and gift shops.
Carrigart is situated at the entrance to the beautiful Rosguill peninsula which is dotted with beaches, small coves and rugged headlands. The fabulous Tramore Strand at Rosapenna and Downings Beach are just 3km north of the holiday home. There are numerous other quiter and more secluded beaches along the peninsula including Melmore and Tra na Rossan. Downings Village is the start for the famous Atlantic Drive – a wonderfully scenic route around Rosguill.
Less than 3 km from the holiday home is the fabulous Rosapenna Golf Resort which features 2 championship golf courses- the relatively new Sandy Hills course and the Old Tom Morris Course. Both these courses are consistently ranked in the top 25 links courses in Ireland. The magnificent Portsalon Golf Club is also in the top 25 links courses and is located just 16km east of Carrigart. Dunfanaghy Golf Club (22km) is another fine links course in the region.
Tourist amenities in the Carrigart area include the PADI approved Meevagh Diving Centre which offers diving training all year round and the AIRE approved Carrigart Riding Stables. Nearby Downings has the indoor Magherabeg Lisure Centre featuring a 20 metre swimming pool. The tiny village of Glen on the shores of Glen Lough is 5km west of the holiday home. This is the location of the Old Glen Bar which is renowned throughout the region for its bar food. It is also the location of Glen Lough – a renowned fishing lake.
Not only is Carrigart the ideal base to explore the Rosguill Peninsula, it is also centrally placed between two more of Irelands most beautiful Peninsulas – Fanad and Horn Head. Heading towards Horn Head the visitor will pass the renowned Lackagh Bridge, the majestic Ards Forest Park, the Creeslough Lakes , Muckish Mountain and the popular beach resorts of Marble Hill, Portnablagh and Dunfanaghy. In the Fanad direction you have the dramatic Fanad Head Lighthouse, the Knockalla Coast Road and the holiday resorts of Portsalon and Rathmullan. All three peninsulas are ideal walking terrain.
A regular bus service operates between Carrigart and Letterkenny and the times for these buses are available in the holiday home.
The modern, comfortable living room is lovely and light with all facilities including flatscreen TV, DVD player and free to air satellite. Open fire adds to the character of the room.
The sunroom provides extra living space and offers lovely views over Horn head.
The elegant kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a large fridge/freezer.
The house can accommodate a maximum of 8 people in 3 bedrooms. Lovely quiet location with no traffic noise.

We just wanted to say how beatuful your holiday home is. Right from the moment we were greeted by you we felt this was going to be a lovely week my favourite part of the day was coming home after a days sight seeing to sit in the sun room and gaze at the fantastic view of Horn Head and the sea at Sheephaven Bay the house is in a peferct location and its style and decor is without doubt the nicest we have stayed in We will return again and look forward to that Thank you so much
