Glen View is a 5 bedroom holiday home located within large private grounds surrounded by mature woodland. It is 5 minutes walk away from Porthaw beach on the shores of Lough Swilly and just 3km from Buncrana – the largest town on the beautiful Inishowen Peninsula. The holiday home also lies along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way. The house is wheelchair accessible.
This split level design holiday home has the advantage of two separate living spaces. Both have floor to ceiling windows which provide ample natural light and also offer views over the mature gardens towards Lough Swilly.
The main living room has direct access to an exterior raised decking area with outdoor furniture – a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sea views. The 5 bedrooms can accommodate 10 people comfortably and there are bath/toilet facilities on each of the 3 house levels.
The holiday home is located in Porthaw Glen which is a designated area of special conservation in Inishowen.
From the front door, it is a short walk down to Porthaw Beach – a sheltered and sandy beach on the shores of Lough Swilly ( The Lake of Shadows). Just beyond the southern end of the beach is Neds Point Fort (an ancient British Army Fort) and the Lough Swilly RNLI Station. It is actually possible to walk all the way into Buncrana Town along the coastal path walk that passes Neds Point Fort, Buncrana Castle, O'Doherty's Keep and the beautiful Swans Park River walk.
Buncrana is a vibrant town nestled between the shores of Lough Swilly and the Inishowen hills. It has a full range of tourist amenities, as well as fine restaurants and lively bars. The town has two golf courses, pitch and putt, play park, clean safe sandy beaches, coastal footpaths and many activities for children. During the summer months, a ferry operates to Rathmullan which provides easy access to the beautiful Fanad Peninsula.
The holiday home has the advantage of two separate living spaces.

The second living space has seating and dining areas. It features a wood burning stove and tv along with a selection of books and games. It also has direct access to the garden outside
The holiday home kitchen has fitted units and a tiled floor. Appliances available include cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer.
A separate utility room has a washing machine

This site is a dream to use; it has everything in place in a way that is easy to find.
