Croaghross House

Croaghross House in Portsalon offers six bedrooms and three bathrooms. The property includes a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, and free WiFi throughout. Guests can enjoy a garden, outdoor dining area, and barbecue facilities. The spacious setting welcomes pets, ensuring a comfortable stay for all. We are located close to Portsalon Golf Club and the harbour area.

The Fanad Peninsula

Portsalon is located on the Fanad Peninsula. This beautiful peninsula stretches north from the village of Milford via Kerrykeel to Fanad Head and back down to the heritage village of Ramelton via Rathmullan. It contains numerous bays, glorious beaches, rugged mountains, rolling hills and numerous small lakes.

Fishing

Sea angling is available at both Portsalon and Rathmullan - on the Lough Swilly side of the Fanad Peninsula. The Mulroy Bay side of the peninsula is the location of the Meadows Fishery. This is a two-acre stream-fed lake with good road access and parking space. Fishing is by fly only using barbless or de-barbed hooks. A range of fishing options are available to cater for both the experienced angler and the beginner

Surfing

The beautiful Ballyhiernan Bay is only 5 km from the holiday home. A beautiful, unspoilt sandy beach skirts this bay. This beach is the location of the Adventure One Surf School - the leading ISA (Irish Surfing Association) approved school on the north coast of Donegal. In Portsalon itself there is a water sports centre at the village harbour where kayaks, pedal boats, wetsuits and boogie boards can be hired.

Letterkenny

Letterkenny, County Donegal's main town, is only 30 minutes by car. This modern town has a 5 screen cinema, bowling, go-karting, a superb modern leisure centre, a beautiful urban park, An Grianan Theatre, the Regional Cultural Centre and a wide variety of shopping.

The North West

The spectacular landscapes of the Inishowen and Rosguil Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands, the magnificent Glenveagh National Park and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all within an hours drive of the holiday cottage

Booking Deposit €200 - with the balance to be paid six weeks before the letting period.
