Cottage By The Sea

By The Sea Cottage is a newly renovated four-bedroom home at the Loughross Point peninsula, Ireland. It offers stunning views of the mountains and Maghera Strand and breathtaking views over the bay to Assaranca Waterfall. The famous Maghera Caves and white sand beach is only ten minutes away from our local heritage town of Ardara.

Living Room

The Living area is set up with three large picture windows overlooking the mountains and the bay. Two comfortable sofas and two chairs with an open fire and a small Library of local books for relaxing or reading. Lots of space to set up your yoga mat and take in the view while you breathe in the country fresh air.

Kitchen and Dining

With lots of light seeping through the windows, the kitchen area is a peaceful place to enjoy your first cup of coffee. With all new appliances, a farmhouse sink, and the perfect entertaining island you and your guests will enjoy the serene space for all your cooking or snacking needs. 

Primary Bedroom

The primary room is fitted with a king bed and views of the surrounding mountains and bay. It's a perfect place to lay your head after a long day of exploring or even an afternoon cat nap.  

All rooms are outfitted with classic handwoven blankets, made by a local tweed maker Eddie Doherty. 

Green Bedroom

The guest room is the perfect place for your guests or children to lay their heads. With stunning views from the window and lots of natural light the room is airy and cozy at the same time. This single bedroom outfitted with warm blankets and soft colors will have your guests off to dreamland in no time.

About the Owners

The cottage has been thoughtfully designed by Catherine and Noel Woods who were both born in Ireland but now live full-time in New York with their family of four. They always dreamt of owning a home back home and finally, when the chance arrived they bought the cottage on the spot.

Outfitting the cottage with finds from their travels, Catherine's designs and local pieces from artisans near by.

Booking deposit euro200 - with the balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period
