Burndell Cottage - Kilmacrennan

Burndell Cottage is a 5 bedroom holiday home located in tranquil countryside just 2km from the centre of Kilmacrennan in North Donegal. The accommodation is within easy driving distance of both Letterkenny (12km) and the fabulous Glenveagh National Park(15km). It is also a relaxing base to explore the stunning coastline and beaches of North Donegal.

Accommodating up to 12 people, this spacious holiday home is an ideal base for groups of friends, two families or an extended family wishing to spend a self-catering holiday in this unspoilt area of north Donegal.

Ideal Walking Terrain

For the keen walker or cyclist Burndell Cottage is surrounded by quiet country roads and lanes. In the wider locality, there are numerous walking trails including those in Ards Forest Park and Glenveagh National Park. Electric and hybrid bicycles are available for hire in nearby Termon and in Glenveagh.
The shores of Lough Keel are just 1km from the front door and the popular fishing lake, Lough Fern, is a short drive away

A Choice of Seaside Resorts

Brundell Cottage is also within easy driving distance of some of the main seaside resorts in North Donegal – Portnablagh, Dunfanaghy, Downings, Carrigart, Portsalon and Rathmullan. In these seaside villages, there are lively pubs and a good choice of restaurants. Windsurfing, water-skiing, scuba diving, sea angling and golf are all available in this region.

Letterkenny

Less than a 15-minute drive will bring the visitor into the heart of Letterkenny. This vibrant town is well served with shops, cafes, restaurants, craft outlets, hotels and bars. Entertainment wise there is An Grianan Theatre, the Regional Cultural Centre, the Donegal County Museum and the Newmills Corn and Flax Mill.

There is also plenty for the kids to enjoy with Lurgybrak Open Farm, the Arena 7 entertainment complex, the Aura Leisure Centre, a modern cinema complex and a mini zoo (Tropical World at Alcorns). Letterkenny has 2 parks with children's play facilities and just outside the town there is a fine 18 hole parkland golf course.

The holiday home has a large kitchen and dining room with tiled floor.

Appliances available in the kitchen include cooker and hobs, microwave and fridge freezer. A storeroom is adjacent to the kitchen and a washing machine is also available.

The holiday home has a large bright living room with a wood floor that can seat up to 10 people comfortably. The room enjoys panoramic countryside views. It has  tv, DVD player and a selection of board games.

Booking deposit of euro200 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
