A Lovely wee cottage situated at the edge of Sessiagh Lake just off the main road to Port-na-Blagh and Dunfanaghy. This is a comfortable cottage  in an idyllic setting with panoramic views of the lake. Keen fishermen can fish at the bottom of the garden if a permit has been purchased. This is a great area for bird watching with many native species to be spotted on the waters and along the shores of Sessiagh Lake.

Surrounding Area

The cottage is very private at the front, and  only 1 km from Marble Hill beach and The Shandon Hotel which has an excellent Spa and leisure centre which includes a swimming pool which is open to none residents.

You will be within walking distance of Port-na-Blagh Beach and Harbour and Dunfanaghy is only 2 km away. Regular mini buses run in and out to Dunfanaghy at night which will ensure a safe night out ( contact no. available at the cottage).

The cottage is located on the shores of Sessiagh Lake along the road leading to Dunfanaghy. The entrance is just before the 80km sign. Bothog-a-Holladha is in the Portnablagh area but also in close proximity to Dunfanaghy and Marble Hill/ Killahoey.

Dunfanaghy Golf Club is an 18 hole links course and is only 1km from the apartment. The course is  an excellent golfing challenge, with spectacular views of  headlands, beaches, harbours and mountains. The greens are consistently rated with the best in the country, and the course - being sand-based  -  is playable throughout the year.

Living Space


  Interior

Situated at the front of the cottage is a panoramic view of the lake, you can sit for hours just watching the wild life on the lake or the donkeys on the island (Bothog-a-Holladha). There is an open fire place which will also heat all the radiators if its a cold day. The living area is tiled with rustic tiles and – so there is no worry of spills. The room is furnished with comfortable  leather suite with two reclining chairs.

Booking Details

Deposit of 100 euros per week to confirm booking. The balance must be paid 1 month prior to arrival plus deposit of 100 euros which will be refunded in full on day of departure provided house is left in the same clean condition as when first occupied

  • Important to note that booking is not firm until deposit is paid
  • House to let on weekly basis Saturday to Saturday
  • Week: 4.00pm Saturday to 12 midday following Saturday
  • 4 nights going in on a Saturday or out on a Saturday
