Ailt Cottage

Ailt Cottage - newly built detached cottage situated in a secluded area ten minute drive from Dunfanaghy. Breath-taking views all around with outdoor seating and a barbecue area. The cottage is warm, cozy and, with a spacious interior, ideal for family breaks. Perfectly located for countryside walks and hiking. Ailt is open all year round - we also do short breaks.

Falcarragh

Falcarragh is well served with pubs, shops and cafes. It has a fine 9-hole golf course and a wonderful beach - Drumnatinney Strand. The beach is popular for surfing, windsurfing, kayaking and swimming. It is also great for bracing walks. The area around Falcarragh is ideal hill walking terrain. Muckish Mountain provides a backdrop to the town.

Gaeltacht Region

Falcarragh is surrounded by Donegal's North West Donegal Gaeltacht (Cloich Cheann Fhaola). The Irish language is widely used on a day-to-day basis by locals. Not only the language but also Irish culture and traditions are kept very much alive. This offers an authentic Irish experience for visitors to the holiday home.

Dunfanaghy

The popular seaside resort of Dunfanaghy is a short drive away. It has a fine Blue Flag Beach an 18-hole golf links course and riding stables. There are scenic walks around dramatic Horn Head. Along the coast to the west of Falcarragh are the coastal villages of Gortahork and Magheraroarty as well as the stunning Bloody Foreland headland. Mageraroarty has a superb beach. At Magheraroarty Pier you can catch ferries to both Tory and Inishboffin Islands.

Glenveagh National Park

The majestic Glenveagh National Park in the heart of the Donegal Highlands is just over 17km away. This park contains a quaint Scottish-style Castle, visitor centre, wonderful gardens and 16,000 hectares of mountains, glens and lakes.  

Dunlewey Center

Just 20km from the holiday home is the beautifully situated Dunlewey Center. This cultural and family activity centre is on the shores of Dunlewy Lough and has Mount Errigal as an imposing backdrop. Facilities at centre include weaving displays, a craft shop, a restaurant, boat trips, lakeside walks and indoor and outdoor play areas

  Bathroom

In addition to the king-size ensuite bedroom there is a bathroom on the ground floor with a separate shower and bath. On the upper floor, there is a bathroom on the upper floor with a walk-in shower.

Booking deposit euro200 - with the balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period
