15 St Joseph's Avenue - Donegal Town

No 15 St Joseph’s Ave has been in our family for many years. Having bought the property at the end of 2018 we set about renovating and extending the property. We wanted to offer a stylish and comfortable place for our guests to spend their holidays. The house is within easy walking distance of the pubs, shops and restaurants in Donegal Town centre.

The house offers 3 bedrooms, one on the ground floor next to the shower room and 2 upstairs. The bedrooms upstairs share the family bathroom. There is a beautiful sitting room – with open fireplace - that leads through sliding doors to the kitchen with dining area.The double doors in the kitchen open out to an outside seating area.

Donegal Town

Donegal Town itself is of great historical interest and has numerous tourist attractions. Donegal Castle stands beside The Diamond, overlooking the River Eske. Guided historical tours of Donegal Town take place on a daily basis during the summer and the Waterbus takes you around Donegal Bay - and will provide you with a view of the holiday home from the sea. The ruins of Donegal Abbey, situated on the bay, are open to the public.

Also close to the holiday home is the quaint Donegal Craft Village. The workshops in this village are leased to professional artists and crafts people. All the unique products you will see in the village are handmade by these talented artists. Located on the Diamond is the renowned Magee of Donegal. Opened in 1866 this historic shop has a great selection of tweeds for both men and women and beautiful knitwear and a large range of casual wear. Donegal Town also has several first class hotels and restaurants. There is entertainment most nights in the local pubs with music to suit all tastes.

• Golf - superb 18 hole links championship courses are located at nearby Murvagh (9km) and at Bundoran (28km)
• Surfing – Rossnowlagh (16km) has some of the best surfing in the world and the European Championships have been held here a number of times
• Walking - Many well-signed walks can be enjoyed in the nearby Bluestack Mountains .
• Crafts- visit the Craft Village in Donegal Town
• Horse-Riding - There are several horse-riding and trekking establishments in the area where you can enjoy an afternoon on horseback, riding through some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery.
• Cycling - South Donegal abounds with small, winding roads which offer spectacular views around every corner and are ideal for cycling.
• Angling - coarse and sea angling with sea angling boats available for local chartering.
• Waterworld in Bundoran - one of Ireland's leading Indoor Aqua Adventure Playgrounds is located on the seafront in Bundoran
• Glenveagh National Park is approximately 1 Hour away

Booking Details

Booking Deposit €200 - with the balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.

- Sat-Sat rental only during high season
- Weekends available during mid and low season

High Season: July/Aug/Easter/Christmas
Mid Season: Mar/Apr/May/Jun/Sep/Oct
Low Season: Jan/Feb/Nov/Dec (except Christmas/New Year)
