Portnablagh Holiday Home is located close to the entrance of the majestic Ards Forest Park and is within easy driving distance of 3 popular seaside resorts in north west Donegal – Dunanaghy, Portnablagh and Creeslough. The superb blue flag beach - Marble Hill Strand -  is just 3km from the front door. The holiday also lies along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way – Irelands long distance  scenic driving route.

Peaceful Countryside Setting

The holiday home has a tranquil countryside setting with views towards Muckish Mountain. It has 3 spacious bedrooms (1 ensuite), a ground floor bathroom and a first floor shower room. There are two living spaces – the main living room with open fireplace and a comfortably furnished sun room. There is a large well equipped modern kitchen with adjacent dining area and a separate utility. There is a good sized lawn to the front and side of the house.

Marble Hill Strand - A Blue Flag Beach

Just a short distance from the from the holiday home is the beautiful Marble Hill Strand -  an extensive sandy beach that is safe for bathing and also a popular surfing venue. Overlooking the strand is the superb  Shandon Hotel Spa and Wellness Centre. This modern Spa has a hydrotherapy floor and 8 treatment rooms.
In addition to Marble Hill there are three other superb beaches in this beautiful part of Donegal -  Ards, Portnablagh Tramore and the wonderful blue flag Killahoey beach in Dunfanaghy

Ards Forest Park

Portnablagh Holiday Home is located close to the entrance of Ards Forest Park. and also a short distance to the beautiful Ards Friary.
Ards Forest Park is Ireland’s most diverse forest park. It is a 480-hectare paradise of forests, small lakes, streams and salt marshes. There are a large number of trails in this park giving the walker the opportunity to explore a variety of habitats from foreshore and sand dunes to semi natural oak woodlands on rock outcrops. The park has the added advantage of a fine sandy beach and a childrens playground.

Ards Friary

Ards Friary is open to the public and has a quaint coffee shop which is open during the holiday season. This very peaceful place is set in 200 acres of mature woodland near the north-eastern tip of Ards Peninsula . There is a wonderful footpath which follows the shore among oak, beech and elm trees, passing several small sandy beaches and coves before reaching the point of the peninsula. Here there are stunning views over Sheephaven Bay towards the Rosguill Peninsula and out into the Atlantic Ocean
