Really enjoyed staying here and we got the weather ? It was an amazing house.

We went crab fishing and swimming in the sea. We'll be back.

    The Martin Family - Belfast

Beautiful house, great location, very welcoming. Everything just perfect, especially scones, jam and milk on arrival. Great location, fantastic weekend with brilliant special friends. Thank you so much,

Tricia and Phelim McCann (Antrim) - Saturday 30 July 11

Thanks so much Kate. You have a beautiful home and all the little touches mean so much (especially the wine!). See you next year.

Lynne, Pauline, Carol, Audrey, Anna and Liz. Bangor, Belfast, Ards and Hollywood. NI. November 2008.

As usual our stay here was excellent. We enjoyed the hospitality of everyone here and you know we will be back. Many thanks for all you have done.

Beautiful house with a superb view of Lough Foyle and surrounding area. Moville, Greencastle and Derry just a stone's throw away. (Stone throwing is a great Derry tradition!)

The pictures of the house did not do it justice. It is a truly fantastic house, clean, spacious with everything you might need.

The little touches like the welcoming basket of fresh bread, jam, tea, coffee and milk we just couldn't get over. All the literature on places to visit were carefully laid out. TV with all the stations. Great neighbours.

Thank you for the use of your house.

    We will be back!

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay with surprisingly good weather.
We learned that no matter what the weather is like in the morning, go out anyway. Chances are things will improve.
We had 4 good afternoons and all day Friday was dry with bright spells.
We would recommend the Glenveigh National Park as a day trip. There is a good restaurant (although picnic areas are also provided), a children's play park, walks, and the castle is well worth seeing. A trip round Bloody Foreland is worthwhile too.
We also went to Dunlewy where there is a visitor's centre with a boat trip- not as impressive as Glenveigh but the drive through the National Park made it worthwhile.
In Dunfanaghy the best cafe was the Starfish which serves food all day, and evening meals Wednesday- Sunday;very reasonable and all home-made.
In Carrigart, Centra and the butcher's next door provide all you need. Horse-riding in Dunfanaghy costs 10 euros for half-hour led ride,or 30 euros for an hour's ride.

Tara, Dean & Jude - England

Great house and beautiful scenery with stunning views of Dunfanaghy and beyond, we all really enjoyed our stay. This was our third visit to Downings but this house and its setting is by far the best. We all had a brilliant time and we would love to visit and stay again.

The snug is a real discovery. It has everything you could need on arrival. The appartment is clean, decorated with great taste and is close to all amenities. An ideal location to discover Donegal! The garden is completely private with a sea view in the distance. A great place to relax after the day. The local people as indeed the owner were very welcoming and provided excellent information on where to go and what to see. I will certainly stay again and will recommend this location to friends.
